Re: Around the Web: Who the "Experts" Think The Rams Will Take (2/18/07)

If it takes a miracle for a guy to fall to you and he does then generally you should take him. Sure you don't need a qb, but either trade down or take him is he is far and away the BAP. Besides, Bulger and Ferrotte aren't exactly kids.

I like the Jamaal Anderson pickup IMO if he is there at 13 we cannot pass him up. That would be a huge mistake.

Here's how the odds stack up for getting Anderson...

The Rams have the 13th pick.

There are 7 players that are pretty much a lock to go in the top 12:

    2 QBs (Russell, Quinn)
    1 RB (Petersen)
    1 OL (Thomas)
    1 WR (Johnson)
    2 DL (Branch, Adams)

The qeustion then is, who will be picked with the other 5 selections prior to the Rams' pick. I'd say Anderson is a frontrunner for one of those spots, but not an absolute lock. That said, if he runs better than a 4.7 in the 40, he could become a lock.

Lou Pickney (Draft King): Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame
LOL, guess he hasn't heard of Marc "On Target" Bulger.

You mean we hope they don't.

    Never say never.

While true, how many thought Bush would fall to #2 last year?
Anything is possible, but taking Quinn in the first round would be a mistake for the Rams.
