AR's First Complete Rams Mock
Here's my first stab at the Rams' full draft. This is based upon both who I want and who I think will be available when the Rams select:
Round 1: Chad Greenway, OLB, Iowa
Would round out the Rams LB corps nicely. Greenway is a tackling machine who has the size to play the strong side. (Second Choice: Jimmy Williams, CB, VaTech)
Round 2: Jonathan Joseph, CB, South Carolina
If the Rams take a LB in round 1, they'll need a DB in round 2. Joseph should be there, and would be a good choice at this spot. (Second Choice: Abdul Hodge, MLB, Iowa)
Round 3: Darryl Tapp, DE, VaTech
He might not last this long, but if he does, he'd be a great value at this point. (Second Choice: Victor Adeyanju, DE, Indiana)
Round 4: Tim Day, TE, Oregon
Rams can finally turn to offense at the start of day 2 of the draft. Day has good size (268 lbs.) and decent speed (4.78), and could be a red zone threat. (Second Choice: David Thomas, TE, Texas)
Round 5: John Torp, P, Colorado
The Rams need a big leg to help with field position, and Torp is probably the best in the draft. (Second Choice: Leon Washington, RB/KR, FSU)
Round 6: Wali Lundy, RB, Virginia
Could be a nice change of pace back and a potential kick returner. (Second Choice: Ryan Plackemeir, P, Wake Forest)
Round 7: Gerald Anderson, DT, Georgia
Rams will likely need depth at this position. (Second Choice: Marcus Green, DT, Ohio State)
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: AR's First Complete Rams Mock
The lack of Skyler Green or any other late round WR disappoints me.

Re: AR's First Complete Rams Mock
I like the Draft. I'm calling it right now alot of people will say the pick of Greenway sucks because of 16 reps. Nice pick though and I've seen Greenway play. I know what he is capable of. They don't. Good draft though!!!! A-

Re: AR's First Complete Rams Mock
I dont like Greenway at the SAM LB position. The problem that I saw with him was the fact that he could not shed blocks. He would get lost in traffic and allowed himself to be taken out of the play too easily. I think the pick would be better served by trading down and selecting a more natural SAM LB.
The Roman and The Prince. Playmakers until the end.

Haha what did you watch one game? Obviously you didn't see more than 5 games of his career.

I watched the Outback Bowl, The Senior Bowl, and a few other games from this season. Far more than you watched of DeMeco Ryans.Haha what did you watch one game? Obviously you didn't see more than 5 games of his career. The Roman and The Prince. Playmakers until the end.

Re: AR's First Complete Rams Mock
So. Coming into this year Greenway was the #1/#2 rated Linebacker. He didn't do anything but put up great stats this year. Alot of people hadn't even heard of DeMeco Ryans. Greenway is better for the position and is definetly more physically gifted.

Re: AR's First Complete Rams Mock
He also showed that he can get lost in traffic. He put up huge numbers. Oh wow. You didnt hear a lot about DeMeco because Alabama just got off a Bowl ban the season before last. DeMeco Ryans was always a playmaker at Alabama, no one ever questioned what he could do. He just solidified his spot as one of the best LBs this season. You cant talk about someone who you have never seen play. I'm almost certain that you didnt hear about Antwan Odom, but I believe that Tennesee is pretty happy with him.So. Greenway is a WLB who should never even sniff the strong side. The Roman and The Prince. Playmakers until the end.

Re: AR's First Complete Rams Mock
Why? He has just as much right or chance as Ryans. Ryans is small. And at the pro day Greenway will do over 20reps. Greenway is the best chance at SLB.
I'm done arguing in this thread. Avenger made it to see what everyone thinks of his mock not to argue. Thanks for the mock Avenger!@RamsFan16

Re: AR's First Complete Rams Mock
Because Ryans has experience at SLB and doesnt get lost in traffic like Greenway does. Ryans strongpoint is that he can get off blocks and get to the ball which is something that a SLB has to do. Greenway isnt very good at that. Why? He has just as much right or chance as Ryans. Ryans is small. And at the pro day Greenway will do over 20reps.
