Re: AR's First Complete Rams Mock

My mock is predicated on my current projection that Hawk, M.Williams and Huff will be gone when the Rams pick.

I find it amusing how people are suddenly down on Greenway to a large extent due to his numbers at the combine (never mind that he had 150 tackles last year).

Its funny, if a player is extremely productive, but has mediocre combine numbers, people ask "how was he so productive?"

What people should be asking is why some players have such great numbers at the combine, but mediocre performance on the field.

if you go back and look, I always questioned why he dissapeared at times. I always was dissapointed in how easily he got held up in traffic. I think Greenway would be a great WLB where he can use his athletic ability. I dont think he would be a good SLB at all. I would take the guy who has proven that he can play the SLB position. I would trade down and take DeMeco Ryans

Greenway may get lost at times but he still makes the plays Ryans doesn't.

You never saw any Alabama game...so please point out what plays you saw Ryans missing...

The INTs that Greenway makes at the times he does. And Greenway tackles better than Ryans.

^^DeMeco is the guy intercepting the pass.

I dont see any problems there. Come on 16 you have to try harder.

Watch the games. If stats told the whole story, then Omar Jacobs would be the best QB available. There were games where I had to wonder where Greenway was. He'd end the game with around 10-15 tackles, but he never took over a game like I saw DeMeco do.

Actually, he may very well be the best QB available.

As for Ryans, I don't have a problem with him. He's No. 8 on my current Rams draft board, and could end up higher than that. I just think Greenway is more of what the Rams need at the third LB spot.

This is where we reach a disagreement. If the Rams were looking for a WLB, I would have no problem with this. I believe that Ryans is the better SLB because of more experience on that side along with the fact that he can shed blocks better. I also like that we can trade down to get him. It would allow the Rams to get another draft pick and still get their starting SLB for years to come.

To be fair, I believe Greenway spent his junior and senior years on the strongside.
