Even though he was a member of the hated Vikings (Long time Rams fans still remember the heart-wrenching losses to Bud Grant's Vikings) he is, imo, a great player deserving of HOF enshrinement.

Inducted in 1998, but you're absolutely right about his accomplishment in a run-first era.

Thanks for your impeccable research Hub. All I can say at this point is where was I for the last 10 years? Oh well, in the words of Emily Littella (Gilda Radner, SNL) .."NEVERMIND"!!

The Rams should find out how much $ Samuel wants and then, if they're willing to spend that much on a defensive FA, offer the money to Jared Allen.

Except the Rams would also have to offer up two first-round picks if they tried to sign Jared Allen, because I think it's all but official that he's going to get franchise tagged.

Anywho, last year's top cornerback reeled in an $80 million contract that included $22.6 million in guarantees. Samuel will command more because of inflation let alone his play on the field. Any fan who thinks this team is going to shell out that kind of money when we still have Steven Jackson to resign and a possible second overall pick to get under contract needs a reality check.

Well, if we can't get the players to provide a pass rush, wouldn't it make sense to sign a CB that actually can play along with Brown? Moving Hill to Nickel may actually help in his development.
