I dont wanna bash your attempt to rebuild this great franchise, but who exactly is HE? I've never heard of him to be honest . Fill me in on why we should pick him up when we have :

John Greco
Jason Brown
Jacob Bell
Adam Goldberg
Alex Barron
Phil Trautwein ( for depth)
Lilja was the starting guard for the Colts, not sure how he would fit in our power running game system, but I'd be willing to bet he offers more than John Greco and Adam Goldberg at right guard. I would be really happy with this move, but at this point it is 100% speculation.Quote:

John Greco would give us the best results for run-blocking at right guard. But Lilja is a solid pass protector who could be a solid force on the right side for Bradford or whoever our QB is.
The reason Lilja has been let go by the Colts is that he got injured and missed the whole of 2008 due to multiple knee surgeries, then when he came back last year he just wasnt very good, especially in the run game. On a strong running team like us, he wouldnt fit in i dont think
