Av's 2010 Rams Draft Board (Post-Combine)
Time for another update:
1. Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska (Previous Rank: 1)
2. Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma (Previous Rank: 2)
3. Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma (Previous Rank: 4)
4. C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson (Previous Rank: 6)
5. Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech (Previous Rank: 3)
6. Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida (Previous Rank: N/A)
7. Eric Berry, S, Tennessee (Previous Rank: 8)
8. Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame (Previous Rank: 9)
9. Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State (Previous Rank: 7)
10. Sergio Kindle, DE/OLB, Texas (Previous Rank: N/A)
Comments:
Suh's Combine performance confirmed his right to hold on to the top spot. Bradford is a close second, and his value is enhanced every time a tier 2 QB has a bad day. McCoy jumps above Morgan due to the latter's weigh-in (266 lbs.) which raised some minor concerns. Pierre-Paul, on the other hand, shocked me by weighing in at a 270 which, along with his speed and quickness, makes for an intriguing package. Berry is back as my top DB after a disappointing peformance by Joe Haden, who drops out of my Top 10. Clausen and Bryant really did nothing at the Combine, and will both have to impress in Pro Day workouts. Kindle is a newcomer to my list. I see a lot of Leonard Little in him, in terms of a player who could gain some bulk and continue to play DE in a 4-3, as he did in college.
Re: Av's 2010 Rams Draft Board (Post-Combine)
Av I like your draft board and pre-Bradford workout I think you are spot on. A question in theory: If we end up signing Robinson (reports of him meeting with Spags) do you see the top DT's drop back on the draft board?
Re: Av's 2010 Rams Draft Board (Post-Combine)
No. I see the recent signings (Feeley, Robbins) as short term fixes to prevent the Rams from having to reach with their first pick.
