Av's Day 2 Draft Board (Top 10)
Here's my priority list of the remaining players:
1. Brian Robison, DE/OLB, Texas
I think he's the best pass rusher left on the board, and would give the option of playing OLB in a 3-4 set.
2. Paul Soliai, DT, Utah
He could be the NT clogger that we're looking for. Don't expect him to last too much longer.
3. Baraka Atkins, DE, Miami (FL)
Another guy who could be a good situational pass rusher. Good experience at Miami.
4. Josh Beekman, OG, Boston College
Still a bit concerned about OL depth. Beekman was a Day 1 pick on a lot of mocks.
5. H.B. Blades, LB, Pittsburgh
Very productive college player who has dropped due, in a large part, to height.
6. Brandon Siler, LB, Florida
Day 1 talent who fell because of last season injury. Very good value on day 2.
7. Josh Gattis, S, Wake Forrest
Could be a good addition to understudy behind Corey Chavous.
8. Prescott Burgess, LB, Michigan
Another LB with size who could help in the run defense department.
9. Aundrae Allison, WR, East Carolina
Could be a good fit at #4 WR and future prospect.
10. Justin Hickman, DE/OLB, UCLA
Another 'tweener with some pass rush potential.

Surprised you don't have Rufus Alexander on there.

Agree, Soliai might be the big, long awaited stuffer we've been dreaming of.
Saturday night: I don't know right now what the Jenkins situation is or will be by tomorrow -- has Carolina made up its mind or is the ball on our side of the court? In any event, Soliai is my Ngata of last year.
Not sure what we would / should make of Kennedy and Wrotten in light of this possible pick.
PS: Yikes, I just read this from Scott Wright's Draft page (is it reliable?) regarding Paul Soliai ... "Intelligence / Character may be issues".
Hmmm. How about DT Quinn Pitcock? Is he taken already? I need to catch up on the news.
Re: Av's Day 2 Draft Board (Top 10)
Gotta add Robert Turner OG New Mexico

Taken by Indianapolis at the end of round three, I believe.
Re: Av's Day 2 Draft Board (Top 10)
Burgess, Hickman and Siler are still there. Maybe the Rams could get one or more at the end of the 7th? (Siler, though, is starting to worry me. His character must be a big concern for him to remain undrafted at this point.)

About Siler...
Quote:
Two other Florida juniors who declared early for the draft — LB Brandon Siler and CB Ryan Smith — likely will not be drafted on the first day.
Said one team, "I would not draft Siler. He is stiff, stiff, stiff. It's almost embarrassing how good he thinks he is and how far off from reality he is. I felt bad for him that he left school. He does not have any idea."
Although Siler worked out well at the Combine and has size, production and a vocal on-field presence, he has a bad body, plays too straight-legged and straight-linish, and his inflated opinion of himself has turned off NFL coaches. Many scouts graded him as a late-round talent, as they also did with his teammate Smith.

I'm starting to really lean toward Hickman. Not an every down player, but could be a good situational pass rusher.
Re: Av's Day 2 Draft Board (Top 10)
Lo and behold, we have yet to get one player on your list, with only 2 supplemental picks left.
Re: Av's Day 2 Draft Board (Top 10)
I'm thinking our FO and coaching staff must rwally like the linebacking core we already had, because they passed on some good ones that were available and a good value when it was our chance to pick.
