I like Edwards, and he could be a good fit. I'm not sure, though, that he'd be a better value than the DEs who should be available in the first two rounds of the draft.

Im not sure what McD's scheme will mean, for the way the OL will operate in short yardage situations? Were still going to have to smack teams right in the mouth at some point. Lot's of ??????? here.
Id like to see us pick up Mankin's, but there's already too much $$$$ (BELL) invested there. Were probably going to have to go the economic route.
Davin Joseph would be a good start. Id love Chad Greenway, good player. V.Jackson would be a dream.
I could live with that, a lot depends on Stan the Man. Theirs that many variables my head is spinning.?

I like Edwards a lot. He reminds me of Chris Long, even though Edwards was a 4th Round Pick, in his progression. I think Long and Edwards could be a Defensive End duo for the next 7 years making each other better.

Agreed, have you seen the checkbook? I seemed to have misplaced it. Great list, we would be lucky to acquire some of these players. We'll have to await the new CBA and what players get Franchise/Transition tags next week. I'm tired of the SB stuff on NFL Network, let's play the dam game and get into some Draft/FA discussions.

    Go Rams!

I for one hope Rams don't resign Goldberg. The Rams run game will pick up with Greco in the line up.(but also a free agent)

With all the O-Line players the A. Falcons have up for free agency "OT" Clabo, "G" Dahl & "G" Blalock. I think Blalock will be a steal. He is not one of the Top Gaurds on market L. Mankins, C. Nicks (RFA) & Dahl.

I think Blalock is a hair better than Joseoh Of the (Bucs) Both age 27. With the depth of Qaulity "G" on market it would be the best signing of the off season.

I disagree, I think Goldberg would be a great resigning.
However I would be disappointed if he was still the starter at guard.

Goldberg is, imo, one of the best "sixth man" in the league.
He is an experienced vet that can play any position on the line, a valuable asset to a young and developing o line.

I would like Michael Bush as Steven Jackson backup. He offers similar skillset, a big powerful back with quickness, average speed and good hands. Bush is also a good blocking back. Bush and Jackson could be an annoying combo for opposing defense, they can really wear out defensive players with their big bodies. Add to the mix Noel Devine for a 7th round to add some speed and big play ability on offense and special teams.

I don't know the salary bush could ask. He has some injuries, never run over 655 yards, maybe could be affordable. I also heard Oakland is really interested to keep him.

I'd love to have him, but I don't know that you break the bank to get a guy who plays a position where you have one solid starter (Bartell) and one up-and-coming player (Fletcher) under contract already.

Solid list... all would be welcome additions

Numbers - 4 thru 7, and Justin Blalock would excite me most
    Coefield
    Greenway
    Sims-Walker
    JB
    Mathais

Re: Av's "Desirable Dozen" (FAs the Rams should target)

    So... how did we do?

    1. Sidney Rice - signed with Seattle
The Rams made a run, but after taking two WRs in the draft (I made the list pre-draft), the need to open the vault for Rice was diminished.

    2. Logan Mankins - stayed in New England
Didn't really think they'd let him get away. Rams instead signed Harvey Dahl. No complaint there.

    3. Vincent Jackson - stayed in San Diego Chargers
Same issue as Sidney Rice - not worth the mega-deal.

    4. Barry Coefield - signed with Washington
Everyone seemed to think he was a perfect fit for the Rams - except Steve Spagnuolo, apparently. He should know. The Rams did bolster the DT spot with the much less expensive Justin Bannan and Dan Muir.

    5. Chad Greenway - stayed in Minnesota
Rams never had a shot here.

    6. Matthias Kiwanuka - stayed in New York
After the Rams selected Robert Quinn, DE was no longer a need.

    7. Mike Sims-Walker - Signed with Rams
The Rams landed Sims-Walker, and he'll remain motivated to prove himself during his one-year deal. If he excels, he could be the first FA the Rams look to re-sign next year.

    8. Marcedes Lewis - Stayed in Jacksonville
Rams addresed TE in the draft by selecting Lance Kendricks.

    9. Malcom Floyd - unsigned
Floyd may end up with the Ravens. The Rams filled this need with Sims-Walker and two draft choices.

    10. James Anderson - stayed in Carolina
Carolina had a lot of cap money to spend, and used some of it to keep Anderson. The Rams signed Zac Diles, a cheaper and, hopefully, suitable alternative.

    11. Quintin Mikell - Signed with Rams
Another solid pick-up, which became more urgent when the Rams let O.J. Atogwe go.

    12. Davin Joseph - stayed in Tampa
Frankly, Harvey Dahl (who I thought Atlanta would re-sign) is a better option.
