re: Av's FINAL 2012 Rams Draft Board (*UPDATED* - Top 50 Prospects!)
I've noted which players on my board are scheduled for pre-draft visits with the Rams. Right now, 18 of my top 40 are set to meet with the team.

Here's where it starts getting interesting. If the Rams stay at No. 6, they only a four player draft board to determine who will be their first pick (as Luck and RGIII will obviously be taken 1 and 2). So, from this point forward, the prospects I'm looking at would only be considered if the Rams trade down (or, as we get further down the board, for pick No. 33). With that in mind, I simply asked myself, after the "big 6" (including the QBs) who is the most elite player at a position of need for the Rams? My answer: David DeCastro.
Now that Bell has signed with the Bengals... does David DeCastro move up your board?

Is that a serious question? If so, the answer is no.

Let me rephrase the question, counsellor. Would you only take David DeCastro if we traded back? Yeah that was a serious question.

The loss of Bell, which was expected, does not change my ranking so, yes... I'd only take DeCastro if the Rams traded back.

Kendricks could really be a force ...he is moving up and up
re: Av's FINAL 2012 Rams Draft Board (*UPDATED* - Top 50 Prospects!)
In light of troubling reports regarding his conditioning, I've dropped Kendall Wright from the board.
Welcome, at No. 40... Bobby Wagner, OLB, Utah State!

One more change to my board (and I hope this will be the last). I've taken Mike Adams off the board based upon reports that he failed his Combine drug test, testing positive for marijuana. For the record, I don't think smoking pot is akin to a violent felony, but I have to question the character and intelligence of a guy who is dumb enough to show up at the Combine with drugs in his system.
Welcome, at No. 40, Mychal Kendricks, LB, California!

I just read a report by Adam Caplin in which Kendall Wright said, "“One of the teams that I visited this week and gave me a physical, tested my body fat and said I had 8.4 percent." Would this get him back on your board?
re: Av's FINAL 2012 Rams Draft Board (*UPDATED* - Top 50 Prospects!)
While that would certainly be better, I'm still down on Wright. For a WR his size to be on my board, he would have to have a strong offseason. Instead, he's been largely disappointing. I like the two LBs I've recently added, so I'm not going to make any more changes.

DRAFT DAY UPDATE!!!
I have not altered my Top 40 players, but I decided to extend the list to 50 players.
Given the fact that the Rams have 5 of the top 100 picks (6, 33, 39, 65 and 96), I think there's a good chance that most, if not all, of the Rams picks in Round 1-4 will be players on this list.
Re: Av's FINAL 2012 Rams Draft Board (*UPDATED* - Top 50 Prospects!)
In the end, the Rams selected three of my Top 50 players:
10. Michael Brockers
34. Chris Givens
47. Isaiah Pead
What have I learned?
Well, for one, I may not be so quick to take a player off my board next year, particularly if its someone the Rams have shown interest in (i.e. Janoris Jenkins).
I also may try to look a little deeper into smaller school prospects, as failing to do so caused me to miss on guys like Brian Quick and Trumaine Johnson.
Until next year...
