I'd assume Chance Warmack and Tavon Austin would be off the board already? I really really like the prospect of D.J. Fluker wearing horns. Pretty slick draft altogether. If Gillislee is there in the fourth, that would be a nice acquisition as well. Don't know that much about Sio Moore, I'll have to do some homework.

Fluker is No. 4 on my draft board, behind Warmack, Patterson and Austin, who I believe will all be taken in the Top 15.

Moore appears to be a "riser." If the Rams want him, they'll have to pull the trigger in Round 2.

Gillislee may not be the flashiest RB out there, but he has good vision, runs well between the tackles, and is a willing and able blocker in the passing game. In other words, he's a good compliment to Richardson and Pead.

Nice stuff Av. Fluker and Hunter are great choices for the offense. A lot of times I felt Hunter was the better receiver for the Rams than Patterson, based on the fact he makes those "Moss-like" catches over defenders, proving to be a more seasoned WR. He'll take pressure off Givens to be the #1 option for Bradford. Not sure whether the Hunter choice was by default for a WR option or BPA?

I think with Sio Moore, you get a nice prospect to fill the strongside LB role and add a nice pass rusher with decent coverage abilities, but in the 2nd round if a Eric Reid is available I believe he should be the pick, if the Rams do have their eyes on Thomas in the 3rd. The league is heavy in the passing game these days, adding Reid as a coverage DB would make more sense. Thomas mirrors what Finnegan does in the slot matched up with receivers, while also stepping up against the run and screen plays. Moore is a good choice, however, I'm finding it difficult to place him in the top 50 despite the fact he's shined post-season.

If the Rams don't land Austin or Patterson at #16, I think they will have a strong preference for a WR at #22. Keenan Allen, Terrance Williams and DeAndre Hopkins were also possible targets at that spot, but I think the Rams want more speed on the outside, and Hunter (4.44) is the best choice in that regard.

I would take Reid over Moore too, but I think he'll be gone by pick #46.

Re: Av's FINAL 7 Round Rams Mock

Good selections AV. I must admit nothing says Saffold, go elsewhere in 2014 than drafting Fluker at #16. I presume you want Fluker to play guard in 2013, or you are forecasting a trade of Saffold prior to the season. Gutsy call. Not sure I see that happening, but I have no inside info to refute it.

The other players are solid. Mayock called Earl Wolfe a rising prospect yesterday as well as Hunter a "Jeff Fisher type WR". I like Gillislee, what little I know of him, but like you I was hoping we'd get a shot at Le'Veon Bell, whom Charlie Casserly labeled underrated. The Ace Sanders pick is spot-on as that is where I see us drafting a role player like that. Which goes back to my not wanting us to draft Tavon Austin (also a role player & overrated in Charlie Casserley's opinion.) in round 1. Guess I have a lot of respect for Casserly's opinion. He's not always right, but he certainly makes a lot of sense given his experience.

My only disagreement with your mock is that you haven't selected a CB and we'll be needing to add one in the draft or as an UDFA. Maybe that will replace 7th round the OLB. Otherwise all good picks.

    Go Rams!

Nice mock. I love the Ace pick. If we pass/miss out on Austin, he'd be a nice consolation. His poor 40 will definitely drop him down draft boards, but he is still a playmaker. Solid slot guy who is an electric returner.

I think there is a trade market for a guy like Saffold, but if the price isn't right, he can contribute in 2013. I wouldn't even rule the possibility of playing Saffold at OG and Fluker at RT for a year, though that's probably the least likely scenario.

In my prior mock, I had a CB in Round 7 (Rod Sweeting, GaTech). Feel free to switch him back in for Moody. Seventh round draft predictions are obviously a total shot in the dark. I could also see the Rams looking at DTs at that spot.

One thing I really like about Sanders is he seems to have a reputation as a sure-handed punt returner. There have been a lot of guys who could run with the ball, but were pretty bad at fielding punts. Having a true specialist at that spot could make a real difference.

I'm not certain he'll last that long, either. Maybe he's a guy the Rams would consider making a move for (i.e. packaging their 3rd round pick and some other considertion to get an extra 2nd round pick). If he's there in Round 3, though, I'd sprint to the podium to get him.

The last Florida RB that wasn't flashy but had good vision, ran well between the tackles, and was a willing and able blocker in the passing game......turned out pretty well.

I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

Of all the mocks I have read on Clanram this by far is my favorite...I think Fluker is great addition considering Warmack is off the board we need to establish an identity on that O-line and if saffold can either get us good trade value or solidify an interior line spot it would be huge either way...Justin Hunter is my second favorite WR in the class (behind Patterson) The guy has that "it" factor where he can become that dominant #1 and him and Quick with the addition of Cook will be a huge red-zone threat for this team...Moore is a great decision because at the end of the year Dunbarr is a free agent and is not good in 3rd down coverage situation we dont need him to ask for a 3down linebacker pay rate when he not good in coverage getting someone else will solidify the D....If thomas slides that far its our gain

So if we are to believe that the whole issue of Roger being moved to right tackle is smoothed over, and he's going to be "a part of the team for a long time." Does this change your 1st overall pick of Fluker at all? What if Tavon Austin were there also? Would you take him over Fluker?

My choice would still be Fluker. The guy could definitely play guard, and provide quality depth at right tackle should Jake L. get dinged and Roger have to move back to LT again during Long's convalescense.

I agree with Mr BarronWade that this is still my favorite mock as well. (Don't faint Av)
