Re: Av's FINAL* Rams Mock Draft

    Hey AV

The only thing I would change is DE depth in 6th instead of RB. L. Little's last year under contract, Slowed and age. Eric Moore 3years and has done nothing, can't even break into the starting rotation.
The Rams are going to need a starting DE next year, that can rush the passer. Little won't be a Ram forever. I think it's harder for a D-lineman to learn his position than a RB. Go for the DE depth a speed rusher and let him learn behind Little.

The depth at running back is good enough Pittman, Leonard, Gado and Darby.

Great Draft I would take it.

    Build from the lines out.
    Defence Builds Championships ! ! ! ! !

I don't think we will be finding our next defensive end in the 6th round this draft. Maybe a back-up at best. We will still need to address the end position when Leonard leaves.

That said, because of the potential that Robiskie will be gone, I have my backup plan (Barden) listed.
Yeah AV, I feel ya about Barden being either feast or famine, the guy has a the body of Plaxico, and you see room for improvement however that means squat if he can't put it all together. However at this stage in the draft you can draft a reach or two.

That's a fair point. The Rams are quite thin at DE. Of course, in Round 6, you're probably not going to find an every down kind of player.

For a situational pass rusher who should be there in Round 6, here's a name for you: Styker Sulak, DE, Missouri. 6'5, 251 lbs., 4.77 in the 40. Senior stats: 15.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, (NCAA leading) 6 forced fumbles.

Great mock, AV. I agree with most of your selections, particularly a few like Brandstater, whom I've been intriqued by for a while as a developmental QB. Appleby caught my eye recently as well as a mid-rounder who may well pan out. He has the size and speed that are good starting points, plus a good college progam coach, Al Groh who is a linebacker specialist from his NFL days under Parcells.

I also think Devaney will watch Robiske carefully as his Dad, Terry is a receivers coach with the Falcons, a DNA connection for Devaney.

While I'm beginning to agree with your point about drafting a solid OT in round #1, I'm leaning towards Jason Smith over Monroe. He had such a strong combine that it's hard to see him not being an elite OT for many years. I wouldn't be upset if we took Monroe, I just think Smith may be a slightly preferable choice. Having said this I was a verrry strong Curry advocate until recently, where I see we'll need to fortify our OL. Brace would also be a great round #2 pick. I think that Devaney and Spags are determined to build from the OL and DL out to the other positions.

    Go Rams!

    Great Job Av

With Styker Sulak, DE, Missouri. 6'5, 251 lbs., 4.77 in the 40 in the 6th would be great. Let him learn from Little a great speed rusher in his time. A little old now.

Got to get to the oposing QB. That will make D-backfield look better.
