Re: Av's Free Agent "Hot List"
If (a) he could be had at a reasonable price, and (b) the Rams get a BIG DT (or two) to put in front of him, I'd say okay. Otherwise, I fear Fletcher would get a lot of tackles, but most of them 5-10 yards downfield.

Re: Av's Free Agent "Hot List"
I doubt London would take a 2 year contract. Surely someone will be willing to sign him to at least a three year deal and its likely his last chance to make serious money.

Re: Av's Free Agent "Hot List"
That is exactly what I just read in the Buffalo news a couple of days ago. He said this is probably going to be his last big payday and he is going to take the most money possible. This was after a reporter asked him if he would consider signing with the Bills for a reduced price. Clements is very overrated. He is solid but is seeking Champ Bailey type money. I like our three corners alot. Our secondary to me is the strongest unit of all three on defense. The only thing we could use is a physical strong safety.

Re: Av's Free Agent "Hot List"
By popular demand, I've expanded the Hot List to 13 and added Grant.

Re: Av's Free Agent "Hot List"
Thanx for the probative research BadMo; but what does STF and STFY stand for? Also I assume "FF" is short for "Forced Fumbles?"
I appreciate your help in this matter?
WHAT SAY YE?[/QUOTE]
Well you are correct in your decoding of FF.
STF is a stuff, a tackle with a loss, but it does not include sacks. As for STFY, I have no idea and could not find the definition of ESPN's website (where I got the info to begin with).
Time to spend some money on the Defensive line (other than the left side).

Re: Av's Free Agent "Hot List"
I would love if Alston could develop into that guy. I just don't think it will happen. He didn't see any time on defense this year. Which to me is very worrying. Who knows though. At the beginning of the year Bartell wasn't playing at all and the last three games he looked like a pro bowler.

Re: Av's Free Agent "Hot List"
I was going to respond to you with the Bartell analogy before I read yours. Great minds think alike. I think they just need to give the kid a chance. I saw him on one play all year and he stuck the returner big-time. They drafted him so they must know his strengths. Maybe with a full off-season and camp he'll get up to speed with everyone else. We can only hope.

Re: Av's Free Agent "Hot List"
who do you see as potential cap casualties AV? we all know by know the players who will be FAs after their contracts expired, but who do you think will be cut from their team?
I heard that Tampa are not considering cutting Simeon Rice anymore, and are planning to keep him even with his high salary. I also heard that Carolina may have to lose someone like Mike Rucker, Kris Jenkins or Dan Morgan. I think Morgan might be cut because of his injury history.

Re: Av's Free Agent "Hot List"
Jenkins is a guy I mentioned before as someone who might become available and who I would definitely put high on the list. Another one who could become available as an unrestricted FA is Tank Johnson, but I don't think the Rams should take a shot at him.
I also have read some speculation that the Titans might decide to part ways with Albert Haynesworth. Another troubled, but talented player. I'd give him a look.

Re: Av's Free Agent "Hot List"
im not sure we need a player like Johnson, but Haynesworth would be ok if that incident was a one off. We know that Johnson is a regular offender, but Haynesworth has been a good player apart from that one incident.

Re: Av's Free Agent "Hot List"
Sports Illustrated reported that the play before the kicking he was cut blocked by the guy he kicked.
