WOW, Marshall is worth way more then two 3rd's. When the Fin's get a qb, i wonder who he'll pass to now.

Woulda loved to have Marshall in horns.

Does this tell you where Peyton & Reggie are going?

Didnt they give up 2x2nd rounders for him? He has less value now?

Guess they wanted room for Reggie Wayne coming along with Peyton.

The Bears wanted VJax and Mario but couldn't get both. Strange deal, but it gives Cutler a better receiver then Roy.
I wouldn't of made this deal. I'm not the biggest fan of Marshall, although he is physically talented.

That is an amazing deal. Now the Bears must draft an offensive line and their set!

According to Pro Football Focus, "Brandon Marshall stat; over the past four years no receiver has broke as many tackles (53) as he has. Next best 45."

Re: Bears trade two 3rd round picks for Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall

Marshall had a great contract -- but maybe the Bears are out of Mario Williams now too:

Here is what they said when Brandon Marshall signed his contract with the Dolphins:

WR Brandon Marshall was expected to sign one of the most lucrative receiver contracts in league history following the trade that sent him from Denver to Miami.

    And he did just that.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Marshall, who was playing under a one-year, $2.5 million contract, had $47.5 million tacked onto his deal over four more years.
That brings the grand total to an eye-popping five-year, $50 million contract.
$24 million of that is guaranteed.
The previous benchmark for receivers was Larry Fitzgerald's four-year, $40 million deal, which Marshall matched plus one year.

    More from PFF:

of course Brandon Marshalls 51 drops over the past four years are also the most in the NFL in that time period
Maybe the Rams should have traded for him after all!

He has an 11 million cap hit the next 3 seasons. Even VJax will probably have less than that.

Re: Bears trade two 3rd round picks for Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall

Apparently one of the reasons Manning wasn't so sure on going to Miami is because he wasn't sure of playing with Marshall. Maybe this is the reason that the Dolphins traded him

Also, Marshall has been talking about a reunion with Jay Cutler for a while.

I wouldn't necessarily suggest this move takes the Bears out of the Vincent Jackson race though, because who else do they have at WR? But they are probably more inclined to spend money at a different position

I'm not bothered that the Rams didn't do this though. Even without being under Spags and the 4 Pillars, I'm not sure Marshall is a great veteran player to have in the locker room
