Re: Beastly Mock Offseason 4.0 pre combine
I'm feeling it 'Beast. Sure The Off-season won't pan out exactly like this, but if it somewhat resembles your Mock afterwards, I'd be satisfied. A trio of Robiskie, Avery, and Burton would look promising for the future. Your pickups in free agency are interesting, in a good way. If I'm not mistaken, Crowder and Mosley come from 3-4 oriented defenses. They're good players, but what makes you think they could excel in a 4-3 as well? Also, why should the Rams release Pisa?

Re: Beastly Mock Offseason 4.0 pre combine
Rams need cap Space, Spoon is moving to the Weakside Pisa is making to much too be a back up and he isn't a great fit.
Crowder played in a 3-4, but the Dolphins don't want to resign him becuase they want a bigger guy for the middle. Crowder is a better fit in the 4-3 becuase he has great size for the middle and he is a sideline to sideline player.
Mosely, is a former Mizzou grad, so its not like he hasn't played in the 4-3 before. He is a good run sutffer and pass rusher. Looking at the Giants and the Eagles defenses in the past their NTs haven't been that big, but they were still good against the run and got 3-6 sacks a year which is really good for a NT. I think he will be a good addition rotating with Ryan.

i see you took my idea with the keenan lewis pick
id rather keep pisa, ramses barden instead of robiskie and brandstater instead of nathan brown, but other than that awesome job and very realistic!

Re: Beastly Mock Offseason 4.0 pre combine
He still gets to keep the bonus money if you cut him and now he is free to resign with any team? I see no benefits for Drew to restructure. The Rams have no leverage. They have to give him something in return and I much rather see them cut him than to restructure and guarantee him even more money or years on the contract?

Re: Beastly Mock Offseason 4.0 pre combine
Because over the last two years the Rams have handed Bennett 13 million dollars and he has produced this...
34 catches for 379 yards and 3 touchdowns.
That is an average of 2.2 catches per game. 25.2 yards per game. 0.2 touchdowns per game.
or
$34,300 per yard
$382,352 per catch
$4,333,333 per td
If he doesn't restructure I would create billboards with this information all over St. Louis so the poor man couldn't walk down the street.
That being said... he could have a great year.

Re: Beastly Mock Offseason 4.0 pre combine
He won't even make close to what he would make on restructured contract if we cut him. The point of restructuring is to cut his salary and turn it into incentives and bonuses and those kind of things. You really aren't giving him more money and you don't necessarily have to add years to his deal.

Re: Beastly Mock Offseason 4.0 pre combine
The question that I coming up from this is who is the SAM? Is it Draft or Culberson? What about Chamberlain or Vobora or Robinson? Pisa had a good year last year, especially in our two wins. Maybe he could switch to an undersized SAM, but put on some weight. It'd get him out of coverage duties for the most part and can concentrate on tackling in the open field and behind the LOS.
