Bernard Berrian
It looks like the Bears will franchise him, but would you go after this guy if he's allowed to hit the market. He gives a legit number 2 guy with blazing speed and good size. If you went after him could you also get Jacob Bell or one of the Colts guards?

Re: Bernard Berrian
We can't go nuts in the FA market on a WR, so this probably doesn't affect us much.

Re: Bernard Berrian
ok first to Berrian himself...i like the kid but i also think that his type of "one trick poney" WR`s can be had in the draft from round 3 and after...T.O ,Rod Smith ,Driver,Colston,Drew Bennett to name but a few who have got to the NFL thro that path.
as for D.B. im not as down on him as appears a lot of peeps in the Ram Nation...yes he wasn`t as effective as we had hoped/expected but geez....in some players cases we blame linehan for not using them properly, then with others the blame lands solely on their shoulders....for me the D.B. slate is wiped clean and i have faith in Al and Drew to work out a way of making him effective in the NFL again!

Re: Bernard Berrian
There's no way they franchise him. He's not one of the top 32 WRs in the league let a lone top 5. That's way too much money put into this guy. They need other areas, like quarterback.

Re: Bernard Berrian
I agree with you personally, but the bears seem to be good at making horrible offseason decisions

WHYYYYYYYYYYYY does everyone keep counting out Ike. Did you guys not see the catches he made this year.. unreal. I don't see anybody in the league doing the same.

Re: Bernard Berrian
I think going for Berrian would be a bad move, I have not lost faith in Bennett either and Bruce can still play (as guud and Drew pointed out). Its not that we have a lack of talent at WR (anything but that) but that we are getting higher in age there. If we want a receiver, we have to draft a new guy (I say a deep threat, speedy guy) in the later rounds to add youth.

Re: Bernard Berrian
I'd go for Hackett over Berrian. He'd probably be cheaper too because he hasn't gotten the hype that Berrian, for the life of me I don't understand why, has gotten. With Hackett you get a WR who can contribute immediately as opposed to a draft pick you don't know will be able to contribute.
