Bills not drafting a NT or DT?

Good news?
Smoke screen?

Bills | Team will utilize three players at nose tackle
Wed, 28 Mar 2007 20:44:00 -0700

Allen Wilson and Mark Gaughan, of the Buffalo News, report the Buffalo Bills will use second year men DL John McCargo and DL Kyle Williams, along with fourth-year veteran DL Tim Anderson, at the nose tackle position in 2007.

Bills | Walker to rotate with Tripplett
Wed, 28 Mar 2007 20:42:56 -0700

Allen Wilson and Mark Gaughan, of the Buffalo News, report newly signed Buffalo Bills DT Darwin Walker will probably rotate with DL Larry Tripplett at what they call the "three-technique" position, which lines up opposite the outside shoulder of a guard.

Re: Bills not drafting a NT or DT?

they have far too many players to draft a DT and they picked one in the first round last year. so i dont think they will. however thgere are still many teams above us that could easily take a DT

I can see the Bills going for Landry after losing Clements.

Re: Bills not drafting a NT or DT?

Landry will likely be gone before Buffalo picks. But I don't see them going Safety anyway.

I see them targeting Willis, or a CB (Hall or Revis), or maybe even a WR like Bowe.

Re: Bills not drafting a NT or DT?

i see them drafting down, doesnt seem to be much where they are and they have lost four big names on defense in the offseason so extra picks would help

Re: Bills not drafting a NT or DT?

They lost Fletcher and Spikes. They've got Ellison and Crowell on the outside, but nobody in the middle. I'd be surprised if they didn't go for Willis with their first pick.

I hope you're right about Willis. I can't see Linehan wanting him when he thinks so much of Witherspoon at MLB and Draft as cover if needed.

IMO, Buffalo either goes after Willis, Lynch, or Leon Hall.

Nick's right. Maybe it comes down to which offseason loss (Fletcher/Spikes, Magahee, or Clements) leaves the biggest hole. Fortunately for us, they've got DLmen coming out of their ears.

Re: Bills not drafting a NT or DT?

I heard that the Billies traded McGahee; so who is slated to replace him and could that facilitate the drafting of Marshawn Lynch? Also, does anyone known why they would trade McGahee, especially when that got rid of T. Henry to open the spot for him?

WHAT SAY YE?

They picked up Anthony Thomas last year to back up McGahee. He started two games for them last year and managed 109 yards against the Colts, but only 269 the rest of the year. He hasn't been right since '04, and turns 30 this year. Unless they're counting on Thomas, they need to find a starter.
