I agree, Alston will likely stick at OLB.

I don't think safety is a huge need though, if the Rams plan on moving Bartell. Besides, I doubt either fall to the fifth, which is where our next pick is. Then again, I didn't see them falling out of the first day either. We have bigger needs to fill though.

Why would the Rams draft Alston in order to move him to safety with Simpson, Bing, and Watkins all still on the board? Makes no sense.

Alston is a fast athletic linebacker who will provide depth and could compete for playing time. I would be shocked if he was drafted as a safety.

We'll just wait and see how he does in the mini camps and the coaches will decide...... but WOW he's fast
