Then why would the Broncos only want a 2nd round pick in exchange?

No, they forget the Rams exist period. And its more common than you think outside of Metro St. Louis.
And outside of the GSOT years when we had a lunatic coach to make great copy, we have gotten jack diddly in terms of coverage outside of metro St. Louis. This I know from personal experience, however I'll put it this way. How often have you seen a national sports reporter make completely accurate analyses of the Rams?

Why did their HC exchange Cutler with Orton? I think the phrase is that they've gone "full retard"? (as in Tropic Thunder). McDaniel's is working very hard to alienate every talented player he can find on his roster.

The reason why Marshall was unhappy in Denver was because of McDaniels...

And yet the Orton-led Broncos had a better year than the Cutler-led Bears.
Maybe it's not as full retard as you think.
Re: Brandon Marshall could be had for a second rounder?
If we did not trade with Tampa and go in to the draft with only our own 2nd round pick, I would be "ehhh...maybe". But, if we DO trade with Tampa, and get one of their 2nd round picks, then I would highly consider it.
Marshall is a top WR in the league, there's no doubt about that.

Actually there's a theory drifting around that his discontent with the city dates back to Darrent Williams' 2007 murder, but it could also be the fact that he doesn't really want to be paid 4th round money anymore.
I'd also add that his wikipedia article flush with a history of "bad decisions". (Stupidity also works.)

Because they got several top picks in addition to Orton........and in this season anyway it worked out for the better.

I believe his shenanigans pre-dates McDaniels.
Again I ask......why would the Broncos, who actually do appear to have an eye for what makes a team go, be willing to get rid of this "top tier WR" for just a 2nd?
Re: Brandon Marshall could be had for a second rounder?
I'll give a qualified "yes". If we take Bradford with our first round pick--and especially if we are able to trade down and get him while picking up an additional second round pick in the process-- then I think this would be a good move. However, if we do not use the first round pick on a quarterback, then we still don't have anyone to throw to him. If we're going to trade for a receiver who is in his prime, I want to make sure we're going to be able to take advantage of his talent while he's still at the top of his game.
Re: Brandon Marshall could be had for a second rounder?
I'd love to swing a deal like:
Rams 1.01 for Tampa's 1.03 and 2.03
Then send that pick to Denver for Marshall.
Bradford at 1.03, defensive playmaker at 2.01.

Trust me on this one, you don't have a clue what you are talking about. If you think anyone who follows the NFL can't remember that a franchise by the name of the Rams exists, you are delusional.

Lets pretend that not all NFL fans are hard core for 5 seconds. Outside of the hard core set, yes, this is quite possible.

Interesting. Went from headlining the list of teams people forget exist to now being possible someone might forget about them?
Re: Brandon Marshall could be had for a second rounder?
Absolutely. Brandon Marshall is one of the best WR in the NFL.
And everyone know the team that's most commonly forgotten about in the NFL is the Jaguars.

No...I haven't changed my tack at all.
Chances somebody forgets the Cowboys exist, even if they only tangentally follow football-Nil.
Chances somebody forgets the Rams exist if they aren't a reasonably hard core NFL fan-decent.
