Brandon Marshall could be had for a second rounder?
Per Peter King in his MMQB Contd regarding Marshalls value:
.....If this is true, we obviously hold the top pick in the second round. The Rams are insane not to pursue this if possible. Marshall is only 26 years old, and has had over 100 catches in all but one season. He is the type of WR that just makes your QB better. Sure he is a diva and at times a complainer, but most WRs are. I would be IN LOVE with the idea of us acquiring Marshall for a second round pick. We'll see. If I had to guess, I'd say Marshall has the best chance to go somewhere, for a second-round pick.
Thoughts?

I voted yes and think he's not much of a diva because I'd be pissed if my new coach came in and tried to get me out of there to...Had some personal problems at home but think hopefully those have been fixed...
I think he's the true #1 wideout we'd need to get us back on the map offensively

Re: Brandon Marshall could be had for a second rounder?
He strikes me as a guy who would demand a trade the second he stepped off the plane and realized the utter black hole he had descended into.
Pass.

Re: Brandon Marshall could be had for a second rounder?
i voted no because i dont think he would want to come here, and because i think our second rounder (which is pretty much a first rounder) is too much to give to the Broncos who want to get rid of Marshall.

He's a accident looking for a place to happen. I hope it's not in St. Louis....
Go Rams

Re: Brandon Marshall could be had for a second rounder?
Does he fit into the pillars that Spags and Devaney have set? My guess is NO.

Re: Brandon Marshall could be had for a second rounder?
he was trouble long before McDaniels got to Denver.
he will go to the Pats and be a success like Randy Moss has been in New England and some fans will start thread after thread about how we should have got him when we had the "chance"..if he comes here he would be like Moss was in Oakland...if we lucky!
in all probability he would come here and not play a down for us..cause he would sulk is way out of here.
if we wanted to spend a 2nd on a wideout ,id rather go for someone like LaFell...but if we take Suh without trading down and getting another 2nd round pick..we likely to spend that pick on another position..like QB,DE,LB or TE.

Re: Brandon Marshall could be had for a second rounder?
I understand where you guys are going with this, but what you have to realize is that you cant go with just intelligent, nice ( 4 pillars ) type of players. One or two "bad boys" can bring in the talent and attitude that we are lacking. Plus one or two of those guys are much easier for a coach and gm to handle. I would be against trading #33 but if we possibly get into a trade situation where we trade down and acquire another 2nd rounder than hells yeah, JUST DO IT.

Re: Brandon Marshall could be had for a second rounder?
For, a second round? No, I think we can better spend our pick.
Now, please dont take this to mean I dont like Marshall, because I do. I think with the right coach that respects his players he would be a wonderful addition, and yes SPags could be that coach. But I would prefer the first two round of this years draft go towards building a dominating defense.

Tholtfan, TO last year, Vick and Marshall this year.... have you ever wanted the Rams to sign a player that DIDN'T have character issues?

Re: Brandon Marshall could be had for a second rounder?
Marshall is a 2x pro-bowler who, at 26 years of age, is just entering his prime years. Darn right I'd trade a 2nd round pick for that sort of talent. There is a 90+% chance our draft pick will never even come remotely close to his level of talent and production. You gotta play the odds.

Re: Brandon Marshall could be had for a second rounder?
Who's going to throw the ball to Marshall? I think that's a bigger issue than spending a second round pick to acquire a WR at this point.

Re: Brandon Marshall could be had for a second rounder?
Given his... I'll just call them "issues," I wouldn't give up the 33rd pick in the draft for him (and his contract demands).
If Denver would take the Rams 3rd round pick... well, then I think I'd be tempted.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!
