Brian Westbrook to visit St. Louis
Just heard on NFL network that Brian Westbrook was going to make a trip to St. Louis and take a physical. I wonder if a contract could be coming, I can't say I would argue with him as a backup for Jackson.

Brian Westbrook will take a physical in St. Louis
Brian Westbrook will take a physical in St. Louis
Posted by Mike Florio on April 24, 2010 12:17 PM ET
After a couple of months on the shelf, running back Brian Westbrook could soon be getting a chance to continue his career.
Jason La Canfora of NFLN reports that Westbrook will go to St. Louis today for a physical with the Rams.
Of course, it remains to be seen whether he can pass a physical. Westbrook's knee has been a major problem of late. He also missed multiple games due to concussions in 2009.
The Packers also reportedly are interested.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Re: Brian Westbrook to visit St. Louis
How many years do you think he has left? Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a Westbrook/Jackson RB corp but we have a pick coming up and Stefan Johnson and other RBs available that could have a good upside. What do ya think?

I would love Westbrook. With him being a back-up instead of a full time starter, I think he can still be deadly. Age is catching up to him, but with Jackson as the main starter, Westbrook has less stress and can use his remaining skills wisely.

Wow, what a change of pace he would be. Even if he is just a shell of the b-dubs of old, he would still be better than what we have currently, especially since we missed out on best, mccluster, mcknight et all.

Re: Brian Westbrook to visit St. Louis
My preference would have been to draft a young RB to back up Jackson, but if Westbrook is healthy enough to give us a year or two in that role, I can wait until next year's draft to take another RB.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Westbrook now and think about getting a more permanent back-up next year. Then just pick-up BPA's with remaining picks and let them come in and compete.
