Brown or Barron at OT
The OT debate for the Rams has long been Barnes or Brown.. however it looks like there is at least some small chance that Barron might drop to 19 (see Rick Goselin's mock below - he has been one of the most accurate predictors in recent years.. except his Seahawks pick is ridiculous). If so should the Rams draft Brown or Barron. Barron is rated the top OLman but part of that is that he is projected as a LT.. the Rams are set at LT and need a RT, and Brown seems best suited at RT. However, injuries always happen and it mgiht be good to have a RT who could slide over to LT if needed. Tough call. Barron is more gifted with upside, while Brown is nastier but not as versatile or upside. Tough call, but this year I want the Rams to draft production and attitude.. I go Brown even with Barron there.

Re: Brown or Barron at OT
I think if Barron is there, you have to take him. In an emergency situation, I'd feel better with Barron subbing for an injured Pace than I would Brown.

Re: Brown or Barron at OT
I originally said I'd rather take Jammal Brown at 19 than anybody.
I lied.
Since it seems there's a chance of Barron dropping, I would gladly take him instead.

Plus, whoever you draft will only be 26-27 when Pace hits his mid 30s, so he could be the next LT.

Fear not guys, the odds of zero offensive tackles being taken in the top 18 picks are incredibly low. If fact, i wonder if it has happened in the last 20 years.

Re: Brown or Barron at OT
In 1986, the Bills took Vandy's Will Wolford with Pick #20, but other than that an OT has been taken within the first 19 picks every year. In fact, in approximately 75% of every draft for the past 30 years, an OT was drafted in the top 5.

You know you're right about the fountain part...just the other day my wife got mad at me for spouting off to her.
