He accounted for four touchdowns during the seven game span that Bradford was healthy. That means 29% of Bradford's touchdown passes went to Pettis.

Don't count him out just yet.
I'm not in fact I compared him to Pettis because Pettis has been decent, yet Little has twice as many yards over the same period of time and most consider him a bust.

under Nick's circumstance of a minimum contract of course

At the end of the day talent is talent and we need to see if this young free agent talent is better than what we have on the roster if he is not cut him at low risk if he is better he gives us more for little cost

But under any circumstance I still want Quick, Givens, AUstin as our starters

Pettis is certainly not a receiver who is going to pile up the yards. He has decent athleticism and YAC ability at best. With that said, him and Bradford displayed a growing red-zone chemistry last year. This connection may help Bradford get quickly back to his feet in 2014.

I don't think it's necessary to add any other receivers, such as Greg Little, that couldn't make the roster on their original teams.

Little is a drops machine. Bradford throws heat. Not a good combo.

Austin Pettis doesn't drop many balls. Many here have criticized him for lack of speed/separation, but if a receiver can't catch the ball, it really doesn't matter much how fast he is. Pettis needs to work on getting better separation and no doubt he is. "Separation" at the NFL level is very brief; hopefully this year Sam and Austin will make measurable strides in fine tuning their timing/trust. Pettis will never be a "homerun hitter," but he is capable of keeping the chains moving along with providing Sam a viable redzone target.

Greg Little? If Snead/Fish think there is merit, maybe they'll kick the tires, if not, that's fine with me, as I'd rather the guys we already have get the reps.

We're talking 4 games not a whole season as far as the Bailey suspension. We'll have WR's on the practice squad who can fill a spot until Bailey returns. In our limited cap situation I wouldn't spend money on a guy for a worst case scenario. We've already added Kenny Britt and we have no idea of how he'll perform. I think if Brian Quick were at the level expected of him and Chris Givens had a better year than 2013, we wouldn't be discussing this. If Jeff and Les were worried about a WR we would have drafted one, in my opinion.

    Go Rams!

I agree Maui, my take is if we lost a guy in camp, that leaves us thin at WR until Bailey gets backs.

If the Raiders/Reggie Mackenzie saw something in him, we can all take a big sigh of relief that the Rams passed on him.

If it was a waiver pickup, wouldn't the Raiders have their shot before the Rams?
