Byrd and Britt on the trading block, Britt can be head for "cheap".

Jairus Byrd and Kenny Britt are both options in the trade market according to NFL.com. Now both positions are needs for this team (safety being the more important of the two in my opinion). But as with anything in life there are both positives and negatives.

Byrd is an ultra talented, all-pro safety who is very productive on the field, but has already stated that he wants top dollar, so are will willing to pay this guy what he desires? One can only imagine that he may not want to come to a "bottom dweller" like St. Louis at this point in his career. The question may be: what's more important to him at this time A. Money or B. Winning???

Britt is very talented as well, and when he is "on", he is "on". When dialed in he can be a match-up nightmare for opposing defenses, but the issues is he is seldom "on/dialed in". He has a plethora of off the field issues, and seems like a problem child/diva, not sure we can handle more character guys on the team we currently have in place. But its temping because he was a fisher guy & can apparently be had for a late round pick (even a 6th or 7th).

So what are your thoughts guys???
    Any interest?

I'm less worried about trade compensation than I am about the contract demands of players of this type.

    I'd vote no on both.

Jairus Byrd would be a terrific addition to the team. Problem is the Rams aren't going to pay enough to keep him.

League sources claim that Byrd wants to cash in (not that I blame him) which is probably why the rams passed on him, especially if they have eyes on Clinton-Dix who could potentially be just as good & alot cheaper.
