He's much more like Greene than Wistrom. Greene played in both a 2-pt. AND 3-pt. stance......exactly like what is expected from Long. Wistrom was purely a 4-3 End.

yeah i saw that too [pro day]. Well dont we play some 3-4? it'd we'd need more help from him at DE tho. Also, some scouts compare him to patrick kerney, and he turned out great..

It's all he did at his pro day because everyone already knew he could play from the ground. They wanted to see how he did standing up. For three years he played 3-4 end and then played 4-3 end for one year. For the most part he never played standing in college.

Long can play three positions. DE in a 4-3, which is where we'd play him. OLB in a 3-4, though that would be the biggest stretch because he'll have to learn how to cover. And finally, DE in a one gap 3-4. I say one gap, because there's no reason to stick him in a two gap system that will waste so much of his talents. He'll do great in it, but he won't reach full potential. In a one gap system he can still be great as he'll only be responsible for taking on one blocker for the most part and will still be responsible for attacking the QB.

Gholston are more like Lawrence Taylor/ julius Peppers....Who do you spend the number 2 draft on....Grant Winstom...or LT.....seems obvious to me....Get on the VG bandwagon now.....i want to win...not just give a good effort.

Just curious, 1906, but what happens when Gholston doesn't feel like playing a game? Long will be fighting hard on every down they let him play. Will Gholston? He hasn't proved it so far. I want to win too, but there's always more to it than just raw athletic ability.
