If Blackmon, Richardson and Kalil are off the board at No. 6, and assuming the Rams don't recieve a worthy trade-down offer, I have this strange feeling that they might take Michael Floyd over Morris Claiborne.

I have no source for this. Its just a gut feeling.

I wouldn't be all that happy either, at least not initially. That said, if there is a run on WRs in Round 1, I might ultimately be okay with it, as I'd rather "reach" for Floyd and get a potential No. 1 WR than wait, only to find that the well has run dry.

Still, if it were my choice, I'd take Claiborne over Floyd and let the chips fall.

Dang, brother.......I hope that gut feeling is just the bad gefilte fish you had for lunch.

Don't get me wrong; Floyd would help this team. But I'd much rather have Claiborne in defense than Floyd on offense.

i`d take Floyd.
my ideal scenario would be to trade down with the Bills and take Floyd there,something with the extra picks would be better i think for the team than any one player falling to us at 6.

AV I hope that's just pre-draft jitters... I watched the press conference Snead and Fisher had about the draft and they said they will not (for lack of a better word) reach for a player of need. Fisher said a defensive player could help Bradford as much as a playmaker. We just have too many holes not to take the BPA.

As much as I love Floyd, I'd not like passing on Claiborne.

I've had the same feeling a few weeks now. While I would prefer Blackmon, who is the better WR, Floyd offers something the Rams currently don't have, a WR that defenses have to account for. Floyd is not as much a reach at #6 as he was several months ago as several mocks I've seen have Jax picking him at #7. A lot of the basis for my feeling is that Claiborne for all his talents is not the type of CB that Rams new defensive coaches prefer. They like the more physical type such as Courtland Finnegan.

What could happen is they take Fletcher Cox over Claiborne and Floyd. We'll know more about 45 minutes into the draft. I'm actually as excited about rounds 2 & 3 based on our 3 picks.
