Can the Rams wait until round 2 for a Quality QB?
Couple of draft questions for the Clan.
How many teams do you think will go QB in the 1st round? My guess would be the following: Redskins, Browns, Bills, Panthers, Seahawks, Raiders, and Vickings. Wow that is a long list. Maybe the rams can finally use its position as bait if someone really likes one of these QB's?
Who do you think will be availble for the Rams in round 2?
In the list below, who do you think may have Peyton Manning potential? Can the Rams possibly find the next Aaron Rodgers with the 2nd round pick and let Bulger play another year.
1. Jake Locker, Washington (JR)
2. Jimmy Clausen, Notre Dame (JR)
3. Sam Bradford, Oklahoma (JR)
4. Tony Pike, Cincinnati
5. Colt McCoy, Texas
6. Jevan Snead, Ole Miss (JR)
7. Tim Tebow, Florida
8. Tim Hiller, Western Michigan
9. Todd Reesing, Kansas
10. Zac Robinson, Oklahoma State
11. Rusty Smith, Florida Atlantic
12. Max Hall, BYU
13. Daryll Clark, Penn State
14. Thaddeus, Lewis, Duke
15. Juice Williams, Illinois
16. Ryan Perrilloux, Jackson State
17. Riley Skinner, Wake Forest
18. Matt Grothe, South Florida
19. Chris Turner, Maryland
20. Bryant Lee, Southern University
21. Curtis Pulley, Florida A&M
22. Jarrett Brown, West Virginia
23. Kellen Lewis, Indiana
24. Tyler Sheehan, Bowling Green (got list from NFLDRAFTDOG.COM)Last edited by Dominating D; -12-09-2009 at 10:18 PM.

I thought Aaron Rodgers was a 1st round pick
Skins, Bills, and Browns could go with one early, but the rest are more likely to just develop a guy.

Re: Can the Rams wait until round 2 for a Quality QB?
i believe he went late 1st round..
i dont think any of the 1st-round qbs are worth picking over suh or g mccoy. that's just me. i like locker the best of any of these guys, but he's probably a year or two removed from starting at this level. i still like the idea of seeing who falls to the 2nd, a number of those guys will and could be talented quarterbacks in a couple of years. in the meantime, garcia, pennington, maybe campbell should be available through free agency as a stop-gap, and any of them should be more effective than any qb on our roster this year.

Re: Can the Rams wait until round 2 for a Quality QB?
Panthers, Oakland, and Washington will be in the market for QB either through FA or draft.
QB's i think will be there in the secon round will be Lefevour, McCoy, Tebow, Pike, Keenum.
Out of all the QB's entering the draft Mallet will have the best career if he enters, if he doesnt then i will go with McCoy.

Re: Can the Rams wait until round 2 for a Quality QB?
I don't think it's fair to expect anyone to be as good as Peyton but I think Bradford has tools to be a stud. He has the intelligence, accuracy and pocket awareness to be a stud.
And I don't think the Vikings will invest a first round pick. They invested a 2nd rounder last year to trade for the backup.

To me, in the 1st round its Jake Locker, or no one. We can wait until Round 2. I don't see there being 7 Quarterbacks taken in the 1st Round.

Ryan Perrilloux, Jackson State -- remember him?
ALL AMERICAN -- LSU, top talent, huge arm.
I know he had some problems, but I think he is worth a shot late. He is first round abilbity that we could probably get in round 5.
thats where chances should be taken.
He will probably have the strongest arm in this draft, def. top 3.
He can run alittle too and has turned it around since his problems at LSU.

Re: Can the Rams wait until round 2 for a Quality QB?
I agree there is no way seven quaterbacks get selected in the first round. Some of the teams that needs a quarterback needs to fill other holes like the rams. Take Suh with the first pick of the draft and then play wait and see if theirs a run on quaterbacks after the 15th or so pick and if you really have to consider trading up to get pike or mccoy. But I see Pike or McCoy dropping out of the first round due to teams filling other needs first.

ALL AMERICAN? Umm, no."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Probably sign Ryan as a street free agent if you were so inclined to take on the idiot.
