Carricker to Redskins?

Redskins don't have a selection in the 3rd this year (not that I'm sure we could get a 3rd for him, currently)... Carter is an intriguing swap, think I'd go for it

lets say they give up a third for him then we could trade our 2rd n 3rd to hop back in the first rd some where mid to first then we take suh with the one 1st pick then bpa unless it a rb with the other 1st rd pick..

If we made it out of round 1 with Suh / Clausen , or Bradford / Weatherspoon in that scenario, I'd be all over it... Would depend on who was sliding, and who we selected at #1, to a certain extent as well

I will say, tho, that the first selection in the 2nd, and 3rd rounds are going to have nice value for us. Especially the 2nd. If we hold it, we could get a nice offer for it before day 2 opens -- if no player of interest slides (or multiple similarly graded players do), move back in the round and pick up an extra 3rd and 5th in the process

A straight up trade of Carriker for Carter is intriguing, and certainly one that is fairly equal for both sides. Although i wish we could get more for him its unlikely considering his injuries!

That would work for me. Carter is a bit undersized, but he's an established pass rusher.

We would Gain 3 extra picks this way and have ability to move around in this or next years draft with 2 2nd round picks for 2 drafts. Also I acknowledge that moving to 4 would rule us out of Bradford Suh McCoy possibly. But at 4 you would still have Clausen if the Rams turn out to like him or Eric Berry (an awesome prospect who nobody seems to notice at all at this point) But if nothing else this gives another insight. Feel free to shoot me down now

If AC is traded it does not affect our 1st pick at all!

At this point AC is our 4th maybe 3rd DT behind Ryan, , Scott. At this point Scott has showed more positive signs than carriker has.

So how does trading a 4th DT lead to us drafting a DT with the 1st pick?

I am not so sure on that. The Rams will have to address the DT in this draft maybe not the first pick but somewhere. An aging Robins is not going to cut it and we all know how the Rams were against the run. Some young talent must be introduce to this group.

Not really, we Just signed Fells and Cooley doesn't fit into our Offensive scheme.

Russell Okung with the 4th is not a bad option either... Also the Lions are thinking about Okung so that might leave McCoy at 4th ... we need help everywhere, not just DT & QB.
