charles johnson in round 2?
Charles johnson seems to have dropped off the radar screen. Any shot that he will be around in round 2? I would love to have him if we dont take anderson in round one. Of course, i believe its academic since i think our #2 will be in carolina for jenkins.

Re: charles johnson in round 2?
actually , even if we drafted ANDERSON , or CARRIKER , in the first round , if JOHNSON was the best defensive lineman at our #52 spot , you could be damn sure that i would pick him . i wouldn't care about starting the draft with 2 DE's at all . we need starters , and we need depth ( which showed last year like a bad SCHWARTENAGER movie ) . and we also need to have the next end's set when LITTLE goes . i would find the DT's after the second round , they are there , and if we came out of this draft with 2 each of DE's and DT's , i would be exstatic .

Charles Johnson is an exceptional talent. NO WAY he lasts through Rd 1. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the first pick of the draft.

Re: charles johnson in round 2?
tx, I'm sure you are refering to Calvin Johnson not Charles Johnson. Mel Kiper has Charles Johnson going to the Raiders in the 3rd round, so according to Kiper he would be available for us in the 2nd.

Damn Nick, he's got me typing wrong names.....lol
Hey gc, how's about a CB in RD 1? I'm leaning to the dude from Pitt more and more. Reavis looks like a winner and that would solidify our secondary for a very long time.

Re: charles johnson in round 2?
For a CB, I would love Hall in the first round or Revis only if we moved down.
As for DEs, Johnson would be a nice pick-up as would Quinten Moses-his teammate

Re: charles johnson in round 2?
Geez, how much has Moses' stock fallen?
A couple of months ago, he was a top 20-25 pick.

Re: charles johnson in round 2?
not only that, but during the college football season, people were naming him the 2nd best DE after Adams
