Clancy

Kendrick Clancy was released by the Cards this week along with some others who don't really matter to us. His stats aren't impressive with only 3 sacks and I don't really remember him being much of a force last year in Arizona but I do remember 2 years ago when he was with New York he did good with their line, however they were/are loaded on the D line. We looked at Sam Adams, is this guy worth a look or is he no better than what we already have?

He seems to be just as good in pass coverage as he is at anything else, look at his stats.

Re: Clancy

He would provide more depth at nose tackle and is probably one of the better veteran options out there right now if we're looking for a potential starter (or more likely a solid rotational player). Signing a free agent defensive lineman likely pushes both Jackson and Ryan to the practice squad though, as I think it would be pretty hard to carry six tackles on the active roster.
