Av, does the thompson pick mean that you would be supportive of the rams using the pick at the top of round 2 to take him if he was still on the board (subject of course to whatever else is out there). Do you like him better (for us) than the linebacker from nebraska or rueben randle (if we dont get blackmon)

I think Thompson would be a great choice for the Rams at pick #33. On my Rams' Draft Board, I have him ranked #19, ahead of Devon Still (#23) and Jerel Worthy (#25).

With respect to the players you mentioned, I have him lower than Reuben Randle (#14), but above Lavante David (#27).

I am amazed that Ingram lasted until #26. In a real world environment, I think the Packers (and maybe 1 or 2 others) would have started looking to trade up once he hit 20 if not earlier.

I am too, but that's what's great about this kind of mock - the unexpected can happen, just like the real draft. We saw it with the Rams last year and Robert Quinn dropping to #14, so you just never know. But you're right, I think some phones would be ringing if he continued to slide.

I agree, I think a few teams would look to move up to get him, but I'm sure if he reached 26 the Texans would happily take him over quasi-first round worthy receivers. He wouldn't replace Williams completely, but it would certainly ease the loss.

I nearly took Ingram for the Steelers, knowing that they love to stick to their board, but they already have three decent pass rushing OLBs on the roster. I think the Steelers would have been on the phones with other teams needing a pass rusher

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they went with Still or Reyes with that pick, or maybe Dre Kirkpatrick (though I'm not sure he fits their system). In the end, I just felt Glenn had more value.

True, his value is a little more then the rest, but i still see defense with the pick, thats really the only section that let them down last year, but also, making the o-line better is something you always have to look at as well. Im sure Rodgers will like this pick.

I'm fairly certain the story broke after the pick was made. I agree that, at this point, they'd have to consider taking an OT in Round 1.

After the last pick of the first round can we see a list of best of the rest so we can see what the mods are selecting from (at least for the two upcoming rams picks?) I don't mean to impose if its a big hassle, it was just a thought to allow the rest of us to speculate.
