Re: ClanRam Insiders Mock Draft - Official Discussion Thread
I feel like the Whiners need to improve their offense and with the additions of Randy Moss and Mario Manningham the WR position is decent. The combination of Davis and Fleener gives Alex Smith even more weapons to work with. The pass catching double tightend offense is working quite well in New England. Now I'm not saying Alex Smith is anywhere near as good as Brady but he needs as many weapons down the field as he can get and Harbaugh realizes that.
At least that's my opinion and why I selected Fleener.

Re: ClanRam Insiders Mock Draft - Official Discussion Thread
DT Worthy would look nice in a Rams uniform. I'd also keep an eye on Kevin Zeitler to shore up the LG position or Dre Kirkpatrick to give a talent boost at CB. There are still some quality 'backs on the board as well to help Steven Jackson. The Rams will have some options entering Round Two.

So many options, and I believe it is my turn, correct? I'm going to have to weigh a few options before making my selection, and it's a busy morning, so just sit tight!

Big thumbs up to the selection of Dre Kirkpatrick at #33. He's great value there, and having him opposite Finnegan would give the Rams a great CB tandem.

Re: ClanRam Insiders Mock Draft - Official Discussion Thread
I considered Worthy just because I believe the Rams have a bigger need at DT than CB, and that made it a tough choice. In the end though, getting a guy with Kirkpatrick's talent at 33 is a huge get, and still represents an upgrade at a vital position. I also like that he has a physical style like Finnegan, which will make the Rams a difficult team to play.

Re: ClanRam Insiders Mock Draft - Official Discussion Thread
Yes the Rams had plenty of quality options but it was a great pick berg!
Eventhough Finnegan showed he can get under the skin of big receivers (Andre Johnson) i would still consider him a liability vs. guys like Fitz and Randy Moss in our division we need a big CB to match bigger WRs
Just think about our 3rd down defense having Fletcher, Kirkpatrick, and Finnegan covering the slot receiver...we know how important it is to get stops on 3rd down...just think about all the times our offense got stopped on third and relate it to our record

Oh man! I already had Kirkpatrick in a Vikes uniform. Great pick up for the Rams.
