Re: ClanRam Moderator Mock Draft Comment Thread

In my latest Mock, I have Mario going #2 to New Orleans and Hawk to Green Bay at #5. If, as has happened in our Mod Mock, Mario's still on the board when the Packers pick, I think they'd take him and Hawk would probably go to San Francisco or Oakland.

Weren't they supposed to pull a "Bruce" and release him then sign him back because of some 500 bagazillion dollar roster bonus or something?

Especially after hearing Tx's thoughts about the Rams selecting him if he's on the board.

Now all that's left is for our resident defensive guru to make a glory pick for his unit...

I've got to assume Tx is going to take his Longhorn on this pick.

I'll tell you this, if the Rams have the opportunity to grab Huff and do at 11 I'll make sure that a Shiner Bock is close by and available to tip up and salute the Rams.

Why? I would without a doubt select Vernon Davis if he is there over Huff if he is there. Another great safety or cornerback can be found later on. But a amazing athlete like Vernon Davis with his abilities great blocker and great receiver in a Tight Ends body is barely found. Plus Davis would be alot better.

Re: ClanRam Moderator Mock Draft Comment Thread

Okay, Nick, Wraith, and EDM have just screwed the Chargers. As I put together a small board to pick from I listed three players thinking there's no way all three would be gone within 5 picks. And who were my three:

    1. Chad Jackson
    2. Santonio Holmes
    3. Tye Hill

Oh well, that's not the first time I've been undeniably wrong.

As the resident SEC fan, I can say this without a doubt; Chad Jackson better do some soul searching or else he's going to be a bust. He wont go over the middle and that speed that he displayed at the combine was never really displayed in college.

I personally believe that Sinorice Moss is going to be the best Wide Receiver out of this class. It's between him and Santonio Holmes. I really dont see Chad Jackson ever being more than a #2 or a slot guy.

It's just that the Rams have focused on the offense so much, that I want to see some defensive focus (outside of getting some offensive inside line upgrade). Also, for a month, all I read about on this website was Davis, Davis, Davis. Yes he looks good as a collegiate, but very few highly drafted TE's become dominating for a significant amount of time in the pro's. We need depth at defensive and offensive line. That's where the wars are won.
