Claude Wroten to have "breakout" season?

Jim Thomas was on again on 1380 AM saying that Wroten has been working out everyday this off season at Rams park and Thomas said "it seems like a light bulb has come on...he has never looked this way before"

I don't know where he fits because he is behind Carriker and Glover at this point unless Glover is released, but i will be really happy if he does break out. Add guy like Chris Long and all of a sudden one your greatest weaknesses becomes a great strength and we would look very dangerous.

I remember hearing something exactly like this last offseason too. Wroten said he learned that it wasn't all about chasing after the QB and he did that too often as a rookie and would often wear down. He said he was working on playing the line and reacting to the play as it developed instead of just making a line for the QB. Did that translate into good play? Of course not. Like Avenger said, when I see it on the field I'll believe it.

I have always liked Wroten’s potential. I think last years off field issues hurt him more then his play IMO. I have not given up yet, I know he can play, but like everyone here still waiting to see it.

Ha Ha Ha Ha, I was going to say the same thing!!! Every year it was going to be "Kennedy's Year". We'd hear about his renewed dedication to working out, getting in shape, and becoming an all out better player, then every year we'd be subjected to 4 months of him unable to break the plane of the line of scrimmage.

Ditto. Every year Kennedy was supposed to be looking great in camp and ready to finally turn the corner and realize his potential. Seems like the same pattern for Wroten with the same results. Hope I'm wrong.
