Even if we did, can he even play?

Re: Claude Wroten to have "breakout" season?

Wrotten came in with the label of being a strong guy. Him working out does not impress me. I want to see him do something on the field. I picture him rolling out of bed smoking a fat one, rolling into Rams park working out, and rolling another one on his way out to the parking lot. I want to see his commitment on the field. I would like to hear more about his routine and how he is working out and if he is truly busting his ass every single day. DL football players are supposed to work out during the offseason. I never heard that says he is doing more then the next guy to improve.

He is in my dog house until he proves he is more then a dog on the football field.

Really? The Jimmy Kennedy "renewed dedication" was a yearly tradition around St. Louis...

I just don't recall him spending time working out at Rams park. I know the coaches kept saying he can get it done. I thought he did not like to lift.

I guess I'll be the one to give him the benefit of the doubt. He obviously has some talent or he wouldn't have been drafted in the 3rd. And were it not for some character concerns maybe even the 1st.

It would be a tremendous boost to this organization if he were to realize his potential. So I'll be looking forward to his hard work paying off.

Sounds good to me. What does it benefit Jim Thomas to make it up? CW must be doing something right.

Now, let's just translate that to the field, and we got something.

Re: Claude Wroten to have "breakout" season?

Exactly, Hub. The more guys that are working out in house and working out together can only help strengthen the team, in my opinion. Last year after we drafted him, Carriker found a house only a few blocks away from the Dome and was immediately there every day working out. That's why he's such a good pick for us, because even as a rookie he was leading the charge to work out in St Louis.

I can only hope that Carriker and Wroten are working out together and will work with Ryan to become a fearsome rotating three headed DT force. For all the people who say that we can't pass on Dorsey because of value, we couldn't pass on Wroten because of value. Yes, he was suspended once, and the next time it'll be a year. But until then, he's still a Ram and in his first offseason since the suspension, he's in town, and working at Rams Park, harder than he had previously.

Time for him to put up or shut up, and here's to hoping he puts up big time.

I dunno- I think that even a Krispy Kreme would have found it's way past the line of scrimmage now and again...

Kennedy was the practice guy. The guy who looked like a stud at practice, but it never clicked once the game started
The Roman and The Prince. Playmakers until the end.
