Cleveland Browns and Sam Bradford
Based on Bradford's pro day and the house cleaning of QB's in Cleveland, it looks like Mike Holmgren would be interested in trading up for him.
Mike Lombardi of the National Football Post doesn't believe that newly acquired Peyton Hillis is a lock to make the Browns' roster.
Lombardi questions Hillis' "blocking and production without the ball," in addition to the fullback/tailback's toughness. We'd argue that Hillis' versatility could be a nice fit in Mike Holmgren's West Coast scheme. Holmgren may envision Hillis in the same mold as longtime Packers FB William Henderson.
If we could get the 1st and 2nd for our #1 pick overall it would be considering.
I think the Browns are a serious team that will wheel and deal and take chances with a trade.
I think if Bradford comes up average or worse at his pro day, we can consider Suh or the trade....
The Browns also entice other teams to consider a trade and value the pick in both round 1 and 2.
Maybe forget Suh/Bradford and go Jason Pierre-Paul and get 2 picks after that.....
just saying., more options! Draft day can't get here soooon enuff !

Re: Cleveland Browns and Sam Bradford
Judging by their recent history, it wouldn't be surprising to make some moves. They're slowly but surely acquiring a stockpile of extra picks and may be doing so with the idea of trading some away to move up.
Personally, I wouldn't like moving out of position of the big three though.

Re: Cleveland Browns and Sam Bradford
Thickandthin, You'd say no to something like this?
1.07- Derrick Morgan- DE
2.01- Kyle Wilson- CB
2.07- Demaryius Thomas- WR
3.01- Dan LeFevour- QB
3.28- Dexter McCluster- RB/PuntR/KR/Offensive Weapon
4.01- Trade for Tony Scheffler-TE
5.01- Dekoda Watson- OLB
5.24- AJ Edds- OLB
7.24- Will Barker- RT
Or how about this if you want to wait on a QB until next season:
1.07- Derrick Morgan- DE
2.01- Kyle Wilson- CB
2.07- Demaryius Thomas- WR
3.01- Jared Veldheer- RT
3.28- Dexter McCluster- RB/PuntR/KR/Offensive Weapon
4.01- Trade for Tony Scheffler-TE
5.01- Dekoda Watson- OLB
5.24- AJ Edds- OLB
7.24- Brandon Carter- OG
With Jake Locker next year, that could really turn our team around.

Re: Cleveland Browns and Sam Bradford
If I'm the Rams, I'm not sure how keen I am about dropping down six spots unless the offer is pretty good. And if I'm Cleveland, while I have some ammo to move, am I really going to offer a blockbuster deal when my team has a number of need areas elsewhere?
Thus, I think it's unlikely that the Browns trade up to the top spot for Bradford. Now, if the Rams select a DT and the Lions take either a DT or OT, and Bradford is sitting there at the three-spot, then I think Cleveland gets on the phone.

Browns interested in #1 pick??
Listening to ESPN radio and they mentioned that Browns have interest in #1 pick. Browns have the 7th pick. If we do get the 7th pick, who would we get and what else? 2nd rd pick? Clausen if available?

Re: Browns interested in #1 pick??
Like I posted in another, similar thread about this, I wouldn't want to trade out of the big three and miss out on the big guns. Perhaps if they were to move into Detroit's or Tampa Bay's spot, and then again to our spot, but that becomes a complete mess to try and accomplish.

Re: Browns interested in #1 pick??
If we did get their 7 pick and their 2 round pick I think the first 7 picks could look something like this:
1. Browns: Bradford
2. Detroit: Suh
3. Bucs: McCoy
4. Redskins: Clausen
5. Chiefs: Okung
6. Seagulls: Bulaga
7. Rams: Berry (BPA)
In the second round we could go for Tate with the first (if he is still there) and trade the browns 2 round pick for McNabb. That would setup our offence for the next 3-4 years on QB.
But I think I would also rather stick with one of the two DT's or Bradford (that is if Spags and co really thinks he is THE QB for us).

Re: Cleveland Browns and Sam Bradford
No way would I trade down to the seventh pick for one 2nd round pick.
Maybe if they throw Joe Thomas in as well, then we are talking

Re: Cleveland Browns and Sam Bradford
If Cleveland were to offer their first and second picks in 2010, as well as their first round pick in 2011, I might give it some thought. Anything less than that, and I'm not remotely interested.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Cleveland Browns and Sam Bradford
I'd do it for a 1st, second and third, but nothing less.

Re: Cleveland Browns and Sam Bradford
Cleveland already has 3 QBs. Why would they be looking to trade up for a 4th?
