College Running Back Studs
Toby Gerhart out of Stanford - Could you imagine the power running game with him and SJ!
Or even
Dexter McCluster from Ole Miss - he's about 5'9, can make guys miss. has an incredible burst. He could also bring something awesome to the mix in the Ram's running game.
Who else is looking good in college football to you guys?

Yea, I'm high on McCluster. He's very fast, but he's also a very tough runner. Kinda reminds me of Ray Rice from Baltimore.
I also like Anthony Dixon from Miss. State.

I happened to come upon the Uconn vs Notre Dame game and was really suprised by Andre Dixon. He's a tough hard nose runner that can get outside and make guys miss. Has some nice speed. I think he would make a great combination with Jackson. This season he's rushed for 730 yards and 7 touchdowns averaging 4.6 yards a rush. Got pushed down in the depth chart by Brown last year. Could be a nice addition.

What... no love for C.J. Spiller? Are you serious? He's the most NFL ready RB, even above Ingram although he is getting alot of love right now.

Re: College Running Back Studs
yeah I go to Clemson and CJ Spiller is out of this world. He is the fastest, quickest, most agile and versatile RB in the land. He is not a workhorse back but he's scored a TD 5 different ways this year. I'd say he is either going to be a Chris Johnson or Reggie Bush type of pro

Maybe it's just me but every time I see Gerhart I see a stronger Brian Leonard. White guy who plays with a ton of heart and plays great in college but his game doesn't translate well to the pros.

Oh yeah. Spiller and Ingram are looking really good too.

Re: College Running Back Studs
If he opts for the NFL, I would love to get Jonathan Dwyer of Georgia Tech. He's big and fast and that is what Devaney likes. Plus we need to groom our replacement for Steven Jackson sooner rather than later, particularly if we want to emphasize the running game.
Go Rams!

Re: College Running Back Studs
The Rams need to draft a change of pace RB in the second or third rounds. It may seem like a luxury pick that the Rams don't need, but SJ won't be around for much longer if we don't.
