From Combine to Draft -- 5 Risers and 5 Falling

    Risers

Will Hill, FS -- The media blitz is over and Will Hill will star at this weekends combine. He will probably run the fastest 40 time of all the FS ranked in the top 10. Hill will move up to the second FS taken behind Rahim Moore and become 2nd Round talent.

    Terrance Toliver, WR
-- 6'5" and if he runs below 4.5 he will become a 2nd Round player. Since LSU didn't sling the ball around he was known as a possession guy that blocked a lot. He has good hand and can even bulk up more. Toliver will fly up to a top 40 player in this years draft after the combine.

Will Rackley, OG -- From Lehigh says great speed and push off the line. He bench presses 450 lbs and will out rep most of the OLinemen from the BigBoy schools. He will fly up draft boards post combine.

Pat Devlin, QB -- After ending up in Delaware the combine will do for him what it did for Joe Flacco. Newton will be a top three pick and then it's anyone's game. Devlin has the size, arm, and desire to out perform these guys at the combine. 6'4" and not Ryan Mallet.

    Derrick Locke, RB --
The perfect third down back that has the shifty-ness but strong enough to block. He would fit in perfectly as a guy that can really catch the ball out of the backfield and burst off of a draw play. His 40 time could make him an early 3rd rounder.

    Fallers

Blaine Gabbert, QB - In a draft where many teams are begging for a QB he is killing himself. Cam Newton showed his fearless workout and Gabbert isn't even throwing at the combine due to injury. A big, pocket guy could have secured himself as a top 15 pick. Now he is falling and guys like Colin Kaepernick are starting to creep up on him. He really needs to due everything well and prove he will be healthy, since he doesn't have the Sam Bradford resume to carry him as a 1st round pick.

Adrian Clayborn, DE - Shows he has "Erb's Palsy" which had nerve damage while he was growing up. This also may explain why he has shorter right arm. Now injured he doesn't want to bench press at combine. He will fall and fall until the good talent is gone.

Jurrell Casey, DT - Out of USC thought to be a potentila 2nd round guy, he has looked out of shape and not preparing as needed for the offseason workouts. Many scouts said he doesn't have the muscle needed to be an effective player from he lack of dedication in the weight room. Expect him to drop to round 4 or lower.

    Titus Young, WR --
There are plenty of speed guys in this draft. He isn't big enough to be a legit #2 and you don't want to reach for a KR/PR that will work in the slot. He may not be top 5 in the 40yd dash at this combine. With the depth at WR/RB for BURNERS he becomes easier to wait on. Being only 170 lbs makes NFL teams wait. His projection from 2nd round now becomes late 4th round.

Stephen Paea, DT - Banged up in a draft where Defensive Line is very deep. He won't be ready for combine and maybe ready for a pre-draft workout. All the depth has him falling. With lots of 6'4' DT's make Paea's 6'1" frame drop out of round 1 and probably later in round 2. His health and recovery time can save him but he must have a workout before the draft to prove his where other Def Tackles are bigger and stronger to begin with...

Any prospective WRs for the Rams must have at least two. Four would be even better considering how many drops we've seen, but two is definitely the bare minimum.

    Seriously, thanks for the info.

Nice piece of work richtree! It will be interesting to see how these players fare at the combine and on draft day. Any and all insights that you can provide leading up to FA and the draft is greatly appreciated. Especially, those that relate to the Rams.

Interesting how you have Gabbert falling when Kiper and McShay agree that he is the #1 QB. We'll see though.

Stephen Paea showing he is ready with an amazing 49 reps on the bench...after his knee scope he kept his focus to show is a very tuff.

And just to make Paea's 49 reps look even better... the record at the combine is 45... Or rather, is now 49!
    I believe!

yeah, Paea obviously didn't let his banged up legs affect his training and really showed tuffness in his workouts....

He improved his stock, if anything, showing he can play through the minor injury issues that could slow others
