Based on the latest reports it seems Corey Dillion will be with another team next year. So would you want him on the Rams roster next year helping Jackson carry the load? I personally wouldn't. I think he'll command too much money and I'm comfortable with Stephen Davis being Jackson's back up. Of course this all based on Marshall not being back with the team which I think he won't be.
With or without Marshall Faulk, I wouldn't want him. He will want a lot more money than Davis, and frankly I think he'd be a better fit somewhere else like Cleveland or something like that. He's a great back, but sharing is not the answer with him really, and I'd rather see us retain Davis because it's been helping Jackson (the way he runs).
No, I'd rather Marshall over him.

He said the prospect of his returning to another team was unlikely, but anything's possible.
Doesn't sound like another team is what hes after.
But does he really need a release to retire?
looks like he wants to retire, not play for someone else.
I think Dillon is going to be looking for a committee situation or nothing at all. He probably wouldn't be happy getting as few carries as Davis did with us last year, and Jackson wouldn't like losing carries. I'd like to avoid that kind of situation in the locker room. Also, we need the money to fill other holes in the roster.
no thank you , and older vet. , would probably want good money and more than a year contract. but is he or isn't he going to retire? anyway, he would be a better fit in a place like chicago, a contender for the playoffs , a young back he can tutor( benson ) and get some good playing time as a tandem team. i think thomas jones wants a new home and a starting job, and he'll get it. but march 2nd we have to see if we still have davis , fisher and marshall faulk. we might have to hit free agency for a runner , i know all three want back on the team, but what does the team want.
Yes I think so, as the poll shows I'm the black sheep but last year we had Davis as Jacksons back up, why not have Dillion? Dillion could get some more carries and share the load just like Davis.
But whoever we get I'll trust Linehan.
Not to mention he wants out of New England BECAUSE he has to share time with Laurence Marony, something he obviously does not want to do as a "premier performer" with "more to give". He's looking for a workhorse gig with a payday to match. Dillon as a Ram makes no sense what so ever.
I would be more intrested in Barlow if Davis doesn't come back
i knew this thread would be here.
too much money, and it sounds like he wants more carries (well, yesterday it was retirement, so who really knows). he'd probably get less here than he did in new england.
He doesn't want to leave a two-back system in New England to go play in a two-back system in St. Louis. If he's going to play for another team, it's for more time. That's not what we'll offer, so it's not a good fit.
