i know many people on this board believe we do not need a corner this offseason take a look at some of the corners that will hit the market:

FRED SMOOT
DRE BLY
ASHANTE SAMUEL
TRAVIS FISHER
JASON DAVID
TROY VINCENT( SAFETY NOW)
PHILLIP BUCHANON



THATS JUST NAMING A FEW... IF SOME PLAYER LIKE SMOOT AND BLY WHO ARE GOING TO BE TRADED OR CUT CAN BE HAD A REASONABLE PRICE THEN WHY NOT BRING THEM IN TO COMPETE...

Dre Bly is interesting however it doesn't usually work out aswell as the 1st time when players return back.But he would certainly still have something left to give as he still hasn't hit 30.He could also help out in the return game,I recall him running back a punt in '02 against Arizona,don't think we have had many since! He could be worth a look but I wouldn't want to give up much in way of a trade..:l

we only go corner if its a big upgrade over what we have, and clements and samuel are the only ones that fit that catagory for me. even then, DL is a much higher priority

Phillip Buchanon would be decent nickelback and he is a very good return man with 3 career punt returns for touchdowns and he should come cheap after tours with three other teams.

Recently I think he's been living more off of name recognition than actual production. If the cost is right, he's an option. I wouldn't put him ahead of Bartell on the depth chart though.
