Re: Darkhorse Candidates for the Second Pick in the Draft

I'll bite. How about Brian Orakpo? The guy is a beast. Saw him play here at UT and to have bookends like Long/Orakpo would make QB's nervous throughout the league.

Malcolm Jenkins is a good answer.

"Nobody" would be an acceptable answer.

"Your pick is wrong" is really not a very good answer.
LOL...boy, you grade on a steep curve & I think I wasn't alone in finding the post which led to the simple question a confusing teaser.

You took all my reasonable dark horse options & put them on a list I thought was untouchable.

You make your pro arguments for Raji then categorize those who offered the cons as offering poor answers.
I think it was the only interesting part of the thread.

Anybody who thinks Jenkins or any CB will be either BPA,good value, or top Ram need fulfiller at #2...well, I'm glad they aren't The Rams' GM.

    But,hey; it's their opinion & it's your thread,your rules.

so... in the real world ,I answer "nobody".

According to your rules, OG Duke Robinson.

To answer Av's original question, my answer would be Vontae Davis, William Moore, Jason Smith.

I think Jason Smith should be on your list, but since he isn't....he's the ultimate darkhorse.

Raji has to be considered, at the very least.

    I'd also mention Everette Brown.

Isn't Fred Robbins the Giants NT? 6-4, 318 big dude. I like the Raji idea, he's a beast.
Since Lb's are never taken this high I consider Curry a darkhorse.
