    Day Two from Rams Park

The Rams ended day two the way they started day one, taking a highly productive West Virginia receiver, which according to Jeff Fisher was just coincidence, just the way the board fell. Still, that workout with Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin must have really been something, so much that Fisher said he had to keep his backup QBs, throwing to the two talented Mountaineers, from "smiling too much" and tipping the Rams hand.

The Rams also got the safety they wanted, TJ McDonald, who's dad played for the St Louis Cardinals and later the hated Niners, where Tim was one of the main villians spouting the 'Same Old Rams" mantra with every Niner beating of the new St Louis team in the mid 1990s.

Fisher knows McDonald well, from coaching his dad in San Fran, and the Rams were , according to Fisher "Sweating it out" as their pick app-roached and guys they had at the top of their board started flying off. In the end the big, fast, smart McDonald, who suffered from the same poor year for the Trojans that saw other players on that team fall in the draft, including their passer, Matt Barkley, still left on the board.

It took awhile for Geno Smith to go, so maybe it was his receivers , both now Rams that made him look so good.

Bailey, who yes, says was named after Oprah's boyfriend, is not the same guy as Austin, and though he is just 5-10, he goes up and gets balls with the best of them deep down the field, as evidenced by an amazing 20 catches of 25 or more ards in 2012.

He also scored 25 TDs last year, and you don't usually get thise kind of talents in round three, especialy late in round there. Bailey is an Isaac Bruce clone who plays with the same edge as Ike did despite his diminutive size.

    Some other thoughts:

A highly placed Rams source confided that Alec Ogletree is a far different situation fram Janoris Jenkins. " Ogletree has a support sytem a good family upbringing behind him, but Jenkins had nothing, and came from nothing," said the Rams source.

Also, he said that Rams scouts were actually afraid of going to the Florida hometown of Jenkins, a very rough place it seems. That fear was topped however, when they ventured into the mean streets of Baltimore this year, doing their homework on Austin, according to the source.

The remaining talent for Round four especially, probably the last round where need can be a factor rather than just finding any NFL caliber talent, is strong at S and G, and also on the D-line, with a couple RBs sprinkled in.

Unless they take a shot on Marcus Lattimore, I don't see the Rams going RB in round four though, as they seem happy with the young guys they have already.

Here is my top 41 list of remaining talent.

BOLDED are the guys id like to se the Rams get today =)

as far as QB, yes you see that right. Competition to light that fire under Bradford, and if not that fire has got to be in Barkley for dropping so low when he could have been a rd 1 pick last year.
