*DECISION 2007* - Stage 1: The Primary Election
*DECISION 2007* - Stage 1: The Primary Election
Okay, its time for us to decide who, collectively, the Clan wants the Rams to select with the first pick in the draft.
I have narrowed the field to 12 contenders based on the following:
*They are all defensive players as I think the vast majority of Clan members agree that the Rams should take a defender in the first round.
*I have not eliminated any defensive player because (with the possible exception of Gaines Adams) I don't think that there is any one player who is 100% certain to go before the Rams choose (not to mention the possibility of a trade up).
So, this is Round 1: The Primary Election. The goal here is to narrow it down from 12 to 6 candidates.
This is a multiple choice poll.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR TOP 6 CHOICES ONLY!!!!
In one week, we'll do the next poll to narrow it down from 6 to 3 and then we'll select our top choice.

No, though he could be a very good fit in St. Louis. I think some wonder, though, if he is something of a one year wonder who was bolstered by the attention given to Quentin Moses on the other side.

Wow, 25-0 for Okoye so far. I believe the fans are speaking loud and clear on that one. And I would like everyone to acknowledge that while I have voiced my concerns for Branch, I did, in fact, vote for him.

Re: *DECISION 2007* - Stage 1: The Primary Election
Interesting results so far. There seems to be a clear top 6 developing, with only LaRon Landry close enough to potentially crash the party.
Keep those votes coming!

Re: *DECISION 2007* - Stage 1: The Primary Election
I think that the members of ClanRam have spoken. It is quite clear that we want someone for the front seven. The majority of people on the top of this list are either DT's or DE's that could be converted to DT's.

It doesn't look like Landry's going to make it through, which is a shame. He very likely has better value than at least 2-3 of the guys who look to be moving on.

Agreed, Nick.
I have Landry over Willis and probably Adams at the moment, considering our needs.

Re: *DECISION 2007* - Stage 1: The Primary Election
I had Landry as well. Pity I think he deserves to be on our top 6 list. I know many of you still think that drafting a DL in the first round will help, I am still very doubtful.

Will Okoye stay at 100%...?
Will Landry make a late push for the top 6...?
Stay tuned!

Re: *DECISION 2007* - Stage 1: The Primary Election
As the Campaign Manager for the Patrick Willis in Rams colors for 2007 let me just say that my canidate won't buck in the system if he isn't chosen as one of the top 6 that moves but let me just say that you won't want to be playing against him this year if you pass on that much talent.

Well, let's just hope willis is taken in front of us by the Bills so we won't have anything to worry about.

Re: *DECISION 2007* - Stage 1: The Primary Election
For whatever reason, I think people tend to rate the importance of the safety position relatively low. It doesn't help Landry's case that we already have a number of young safeties on the roster (O.J., Jerome Carter, Ron Bartell, and potentially Jon Alston). Landry did make my top 6, but just barely.
