Devaney's priorities are exactly the same as mine.
Here's a recent quote from Bill Devaney that made me smile:
"We need playmakers. That’s what we have to get on our team right now, that’s what we have to get: guys that can score touchdowns from way out, guys that can sack the quarterback, make a difference, impact a game. I think that’s what we have to focus on right now, guys that are game changers on both sides of the ball."
That's exactly how I feel. Its time to add some fire to the roster. Whatever the position, I want guys who make Sportscenter Top Plays kind of plays.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Has anyone ever said they DON'T want playmakers on their roster?

Well its a sign that they feel the foundation for the team is for the most part set. But idk if this means we're taking a QB in the first 2 rnds. Any play maker will do, Best Play-Maker Available! BPMA

He must've paid that medium a helluva lot of money to channel your thoughts, AV.

Re: Devaney's priorities are exactly the same as mine.
Sure, we need playmakers, but no playmakers are going to survive on either side of the ball without big men in the trenches letting them roam free.
Personally, I'm in favor of solidifying the lines on both sides of the ball and adding defensive playmakers this year along with Tony Scheffler (Bronco's TE), Demaryius Thomas (Georgia Tech WR) and maybe Leon Washington (Jets RB).
Then, next year (we should still be pretty bad because rebuilding this team is a BIG job) go out and draft Jake Locker or Ryan Mallatt and let them come in with a good foundation in front of them.
Trading up is relatively easy and you get better value than if we were to trade down this year, miss out on a Stud DT and then pick up a subpar QB prospect.

SUH, D.ALEXANDER <--- GET THEM ROUND 1 AND 2 LOCK THEM UP -- THEY ARE PLAYMAKERS
AND AV, SORRY TO SAY -- VICK = PLAY MAKER
we get 5 play makers the above 3 and a DE in free agency and a TE in free agency.
5 play makers and we get OLB and OL help in rounds 4-6 and maybe we can trade up for a QB with our round 3 pick.

I can see us taking a guy like Dexter McCluster in the 4th to late round. The guy has playmaker written all over him coming from the RB position. Despite his size, I feel he can give this team a nice change of pace back when Steven needs a breather, and he appears to have great potential as a Kick Returner.
