Do the Rams' DBs need a Rolle model?

Reportedly, Samari Rolle has been released by the Titans. He's getting up there in years, but played pretty well last year.

Ironically, the Rams tried to obtain him 2001, but ended up trading for Aeneas Williams instead (not a bad choice).

At say...the veterans minimum, or close to it I'd welcome him for his leadership and what not. But I've got a feeling he'll be asking for much more than we'd want to spend on him. I'd still be all for bringing back Fakhir Brown, Jason Craft or Ricky Manning Jr.

Go back to 2001, then yeah

I have great respect Rolle and think he would be a mental boost to the team as they watch him give 110% while battling epilepsy but...

For the last two seasons he has only played in 16 games racking up only 55 tackles and 4 interceptions.

I'd love to see us bring him in and Marvin Harrison in as assistant coaches but I don't think they fit the 3 year plan you purposed in another thread.

I'm interested in this type of move for what he can teach the young DB's which make up our entire secondary right now... we could use a vet to help them out.

As far as what I'd be willing to pay for him. I'd offer him $2 million a year for 2 years. No point in us freeing up all that cap space if we are not going to use it.
