Do you want to see a really bad draft board
RAMS 2006 DRAFT PICKS
1 15 Tye Hill CB Clemson
2 46 Joe Klopfenstein TE Colorado
3 68 Claude Wroten DT Louisiana State
3 77 Jon Alston OLB Stanford
3 93 Dominique Byrd TE Sounthern California
4 113 Victor Adeyanju DE Indiana
5 144 Marques Hagans WR Virginia
7 221 Tim McGarigle ILB Northwestern
7 242 Mark Setterstrom G Minnesota
7 243 Tony Palmer G Missouri
The fact the we had 5 picks in the top 100 players, Three picks in the 3rd round wasted.
Re: Do you want to see a really bad draft board
That has got to be the worst I have ever seen, it is funny to look at it though.
Re: Do you want to see a really bad draft board
This is the reason we have Billy D and Sprags running the show!!!! , what a bunch of wasted assets. I'm surprised that the Rams aren't looking for a bailout also. LOL
Re: Do you want to see a really bad draft board
Your right, That is really bad........What a waste, absolutely amazing
Re: Do you want to see a really bad draft board
If you look at our drafts from 2000-2006 it is no surprise why we are one of the worst teams in the NFL. Teams are built through the draft; good drafts, good teams, bad drafts, well just look at the Rams and Lions records.
Re: Do you want to see a really bad draft board
In their defense 2 of the 16 future pro bowlers were already drafted before they decided to trade down and miss them all. ;)
Re: Do you want to see a really bad draft board
I can't disagree but we just hired the hottest Young Turk HC on the market & snagged possibly the hottest offensive lineman in FA.
Things are lookin' up and forward, not down & back.
Or are you pining for Dorsey & Limpehan, not to mention Shawgmunt?
Jeez, talk about the glass half empty...
Re: Do you want to see a really bad draft board
Our fourth round pick was the best out of all of them. Props to picking Victor. 1 out of 10 aint bad.
Re: Do you want to see a really bad draft board
I disagree, I think that was a great draft. Tye Hill is poised for a breakout season, just like he has been the past 2 years.
So is Joe Flopfenstein. If I recall correctly, he had 2 catches in his last 4 games or so last year, which basically doubled his career output. In other words, he ended the season on fire.
When Wroten comes back from his suspension and gets back to pro-bowl form, he's going to disrupt the backfield like none other, I can just feel it.
And we can always bring Hagans back to back up Bulger (remember he was a QB at Virginia). That kind of versatility, you just can't overrate it.
And Byrd isn't on the team any longer, but when he was... those were the glory years. Great athlete, great guy all around.
I'm really liking what I'm seeing from the 2006 draft class. Can't wait to see what they do in '09!
Re: Do you want to see a really bad draft board
To make it worse, we passed on cutler to get hill and wroten. That trade isnt looking very good right now. I am still not giving up on hill. He has excellent cover skills and needs some pulse on the ball awareness side (ie see the replay of the deshaun jackson catch on the third play of the year which was effectively the beginning on the end for us)
ramming speed to all

That is a sad list none of them where decent starters in 2008. Adeyanju is the best of the bunch and he is more of a run stopping DE. He has played solid but without much pass rush ability. He gets the most from his potential and plays smart but he has just about hit his ceiling. Klop has had his chance and will be mediocre at best but he will not be a blocking TE. Hill having a great year for him would mean to be an average CB. Wroten to much weed his brain is hulicnating. Byrd flew the coup. Setterstrom showed flashes of decent play before injury but is probably a backup on this team. So in summary I see one guy Adeyanju who could be a backup for a few years to come. I see four guys that could be out of the league within the next two years Wrotten, Klop, Hill, and Setterstrom.
Re: Do you want to see a really bad draft board
You cant think like this, because one could conceivably create a list like this for every team, at some point. We have to forget about that and move forward. Besides, if you want a REALLY bad draft board, how about our three first round picks in 2001.
no. 12) Damione Lewis --no. 13) Marcus Stroud
no. 20) Adam Archuleta --no. 21) Nate Clements
no. 29) Ryan Pickett --no. 30) Reggie Wayne
second round
no. 42) Tommy Polley --no. 44) Kris Jenkins
I think that draft set us back the most, of any recent drafts.

This actually makes me mad:|

This is not a list of bad picks this is our 2006 draft.
As far as your list...
no. 12) Damione Lewis
no. 20) Adam Archuleta
no. 29) Ryan Pickett
These three look like rocks stars. Pickett is a solid player, Adam was decent until he hurt his back, D Lewis is still playing for the Panthers.
