13.) Panthers-Brandon Albert

Second round
33.) Rams-Mario Manningham

They have the Whiners going for a lot of defense in the second, and Desean Jackson in the first.

Kinda weird, the Panthers taking a guard with such a high pick.

Patriots taking Derrick Harvey, when no corner or linebackers are off the board.

Jerod Mayo is the second linebacker taken, after Rivers to the Saints.

I really like the idea of getting Manningham in Rd 2

I'm cooling off on Mannigham i'd rather have Hardy at this Point

I like the first pick for us. :D

As for Manningham, don't expect Devaney to call him. He's done. I think we'll get Sweed (if he hasnt been busted for drugs or something else) or Hardy.

Albert is gaining momentum because many teams see him as a possible left tackle. The description explaining the pick talks about him in that capacity.

It also says he has limited experience playing tackle. It's okay if a team later wants to pick up for a transition, but for the Panthers to pick him, with Jeff Otah, Chris Williams and Godser Cherilius still on the board? That doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

I'd still rather have Manningham over Hardy. Which is the worse potential scenario: a suspension for marijuana or a trial for assault? I'd like Sweed over either if his injury report checks out--but if it does, he might not be there at the top of the first.

I don't like Manningham in the 2nd. Sam Baker, Antoine Cason, Quentin Groves, Dan Connor all still on the board... I think a stong case could be made for any of those guys over Manningham.

Let's hear the Dan Conner case.

I really hate when people say move Spoon outside he has been a beast there and will continue to be a beast. If anyone needs to be moved its Pisa

Mannigham lied about Marijuana use. Hardy is a guy Linny would drool over 6-6 runs a 4.45. We might have already made our decision on Hardy's character in the meeting we had with him. If his character checked out and he is available at the top of the second i could see us taking him. We have shown more interest in him than Manningham and I don't expect us to. The meeting shows we have at least a little interest in Hardy. Manningham pegs me as the exact type of guy Devaney doesn't want.

Uh, the point was that there is no case for a linebacker in the second.

wow dude where did i say all that?? all im saying is Will W. can play probably any linebacker position due to his versatility. and what are u talking about pisa is a natural outside backer
