Draft Day...what do you do?

Seriously, I tried last year to watch the draft. Thought that it might be relaxing after a strenous tax season. However, I found myself longing for the guy who painted little trees in the corner because the bushes needed friends. That's how boring I thought this "draft coverage" was. So, how do you make it enjoyable?

This year, it's golf. You know, they should make one of those ESPN commercials about me when I'm going to be fixated on my phone while the draft is on. Then, when the Rams draft Sigmund Freud in the first round and I sling my putter across the green in disgust it will make a perfect Verizon highlight moment.

Can you hear me now?

Seriously though, I do agree tx the draft has been to long and drawn out between picks in the past. For the upcoming draft the times have been shortened between picks so I'm going to give it one more chance.

Re: Draft Day...what do you do?

I read an article about how they should change the draft to weeknights over a week span... as one of the biggest events in Pro football, I think this would be smart... the draft is sooooooooooooooooo freaking boring as is.

Re: Draft Day...what do you do?

People......gentlemen......friends......compadres.......the draft is the greatest non-sporting event known to man!!!

What do I do to pass the time? Nothing, I just sit back and enjoy every minute of it. When it's all said and done, I curl into a ball and cry myself into dehydration because I know I'll have to wait 364 days until the next draft.

And this year is the best ever. Why, you ask? Because we have the Mr. I pick! Intrigued from pick #1 all the way to the end! Woo-hoo!!!!

Re: Draft Day...what do you do?

This year will be fantastic. As they don't televise the draft here in Aus, generally, my draft esperience is thus;

1. Get up an an ungodly hour of the morning
2. Open the Clanram Chatroom.
3. Open either sportingnews radio or listen to the draft coverage live with Maycock/Brandt on NFL.com.
4. Enjoy every pick until it's finished!

The answer is simple - make some nachos, grab a beer, turn on Sirius radio, and log onto the ClanRam Chatroom!

That's when the fun really starts, huh Nick! 13-14 hours answering questions, providing commentary, serving up stats/facts and playing babysitter. It's a good thing you're young!

I for one am anxiously looking forward to it, as I do every April. I'll bet this year will be the best ever and I have no doubt the Chatroom will be busting at the seams as THE definitive place for Rams fans to experience the draft.

Re: Draft Day...what do you do?

It’s not that hard to find the drama, look at last years train wreck, with Brady Quinn, Then there was that draft pick by Miami. When the Rams took LB it was a curveball. You never know.

Re: Draft Day...what do you do?

This year I'm going to Italy for the draft. So when I return, I can read all about. By then all you darftnics will have distilled it down to, "we're going to hell in a handbasket" or "the sky is falling". Should be some fun reading. Go Rams! :l

EXACTLY WHAT I'M DOING.

I'm watching the Rams pick, go play guitar for countless hours, log on the computer a few times.

Hopefully catch the second round pick, then go to work.
