Draft Poll - Second Round Pick
Since there isn't much debate as to who fans want the Rams to take in Round 1, let's see who the choice is for Round 2.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Draft Poll - Second Round Pick
Torn between WR or OT
Still believe depth in Oline is there for later picks. So went with Mario Manningham think at that spot he fills a better need at the moment.

Re: Draft Poll - Second Round Pick
I am torn as well between OT & WV. I would slightly lean towards an OT. We need to protect Bulger this year and open some holes for Jackson.

Re: Draft Poll - Second Round Pick
I went with Chris Williams although I do believe that he will be taken somewhere in the latter half of the first round. Therefore my other 2nd round choice would be Carl Nicks. I've been reading a lot of positive stuff about this guy. He can definitely play at RT and if Barron and Pace remain healthy, at 343lbs he can also slip inside and play guard. Anyway he gives us lots of options.
WHAT SAY YE?

Re: Draft Poll - Second Round Pick
Chris Williams = Alex Barron. Therefore, I'm torn. He's a little more polished than Nicks, but without the killer instinct.
Maybe Manningham. Certainly qualifies as a solid vertical threat."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: Draft Poll - Second Round Pick
I can't imagine the Rams not trying to improve their line through free agency so I would really want to address the defensive secondary with another CB because I think we could improve considerably in that area. Whatever CB or S is available in round 2 would be nice like Aqib Talib or Reggie Smith but OT might be needed and I'd be glad to land Godsher Cherilus or Sam Baker, as well

Re: Draft Poll - Second Round Pick
I understand the comparison, as he is similar in size, and is often described as a guy who could use more of a killer instinct.
That said, unlike Barron, Williams is reportedly very intelligent and was voted Team Captain by his teammates.
I'll be keeping an eye on the three OTs listed when they workout.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Draft Poll - Second Round Pick
I will say that I do like the notion of a guy like Nicks who could start his career at OG and later move over to OT.

Re: Draft Poll - Second Round Pick
If Mario Manningham is available and the Linehan regime doesn't pull the trigger on him, then that will tell me nothing has changed.

Re: Draft Poll - Second Round Pick
I still have to say that Marcus Monk is going to be a very big impact WR in the NFL. If the Rams don't get either one of these two, I'm going to go Cartman on them.
