Re: Draft Prediction
Our top 4 are very different:
Round 1: Jason Smith OT
Round 2: Evander Hood NT
Round 3: Ramsus Barden (6-6 WR)
Round 4: Kraig Urbik OG
We have Orlando Pace's future replacement...We get a guy that can collapse the pocket at NT...Good compliment big WR for Donnie Avery a fast guy... Big Guard that can run block well is good for depth or battle Grecco for RG or Bell for LG
Round 5 Jaspar Brinkley MLB
Big 6-2 275 pound run stuffing MLB that was supposed to be the next best MLB but a torn ligiment in his knee (i think it was an ACL) leads teams to question his health.

Re: Draft Prediction
Of those, the only one I can really see being available when we choose is Curry. The rest would have to fall a little (in the case of Britt) or a lot (in the case of Kropog and Hamlin) for us to be even able to think about them. In my last mock draft, I had Hamlin to the Rams in round 3, and he's been hovering with a third round grade for a while. Stranger things have happened.
A little high for Hood, perhaps?
I don't see Barden in round three, he could go higher. Urbik is a name that I'm not all that familiar with.
I don't think Brinkley will last until the fifth, either.

Re: Draft Prediction
It's a little early with so many options aout to change thru FA and trades, but it fun so here goes...
1.) Aaron Curry MLB Wake Forrest
2.) William Beatty OT Connecticut
3.) Chase Coffman TE Missouri
4.) Rhett Bomar* QB SHS
I have Hamlin, SS, as our fourth rounder if we don't sign James Butler, but I'm cautiosly optimistic we'll get that done. That still does not preclude us from drafting Hamlin but I think we want to draft a developmental QB and waiting any longer than the fourth doesn't give us much of a chance to get any QB that might develop into a starter.

Re: Draft Prediction
Kenny Britt will go to the Giants in round 1
Troy Kropog will go in the middle of the 2nd.
Mike Hamlin will go in the 2nd too .
We can trade down just a bit and still get Hood but i see him being the best for us in the 2nd cuz he can collapse the pocket and he is a great team leader is coachable (very) and is a hard worker somthing Spags too get to like.
I was stuck in round 3. so forget Bardan if he goes in the 2nd i say get our QB in Josh Freeman if he is taken i say go RB So i say get a Javon Ringer type or Shone Greene and maybe Rashad Jennings
Urbik is a big guard 6-6 332 pounds and is a run stuffer. Wich would be great for Action Jackson
If Brinley is taken we could go for Courtney Greene SS or Scott Mcillop MLB

Re: Draft Prediction
Why do you push Hood as our second pick in every thread? He is a small pash rushing DT. Thats what we have Carriker for, what we need is a big run stopping DT. Somebody like Brace, Chris Baker, or Sammie Lee Hill. We could take another pass rushing DT for Spag's system, but is should be in the later rounds and a DT/DE tweener like Justin Tuck was in NY. I think Jake Visser and Clinton McDonald might be good options later in the draft because they've shown they can get to the quaterback and could play as a pass rushing DT or run stopping DE.

Re: Draft Prediction
I think waiting till round 3 to address the part of our team that has been argeed upon numerous times to be the worst is a problem. OL needs to be addressed in Round 1 and or 2. WR... much less important. I wish people would see that.
The Pats went years with no name WR's. Its all about the trenches. OL, DL and LB's.

Re: Draft Prediction
Doesn't change the fact that he's predominantly an Under Tackle.
Freeman will go much, much earlier. Maybe even first round. I don't see where the value is a RB that early, either.

I'm expecting McKillop to go anywhere from very late second to very early fourth. If Brinley is taken we could go for Courtney Greene SS or Scott Mcillop MLB

Re: Draft Prediction
Hey BarronWade
I liked your draft alot better than Rams24/7.
Round 1: Jason Smith OT
Round 2: Evander Hood NT
Round 3: Ramsus Barden (6-6 WR)He could become a receiving TE.
Round 4: Kraig Urbik OG
The only thing I would change is QB Tom Brandstater in the 4th instead of Kraig Urbik OG. The Rams Drafted "G" Roy Schueing & OT John Greco last year. Greco became a very good Gaurd. Brandstater had a very good combine so I moved him from the 5th rd to the 4th rd to make sure Rams get him.
Round 5: Jasper Brinkley MLB is a keeper
Round 6: Alex Boone OT A mistake was made by him , drafting him in 6th round and him knowing he gave up at least $20Mil. for his actions. I think he was projected early 2nd round.
Round 7: Antonio Dixon DT/NT Miami Height: 6-3. Weight: 328 was projected early 3rd round until injury.
