    Draft scenario

    Draft scenario

On the board when we pick at 16.

    Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas
    Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
    Alec Ogletree, LB, Georgia
    Keenan Allen, WR, California

    Here is the question:

Dallas is really interested in Vaccaro services. They are bringing in Vaccaro for a private workout this week. Would you consider a trade here knowing we could land one of these players at 18? If so what would you ask for?

We worked a deal last year with Dallas why not again?

If we were to trade back, I'd want a 3rd, which I doubt they would give up. They would probably give up a 4th at most.

If I'm guaranteed Austin at 18, I'd take a fourth. But as we know, there are no guarantees in the draft, so I'd just draft Austin and move on.

The Fortuniners scare me with all those picks, they could easily move up in the draft.

My biggest fear is the Whiners trading down and getting Austin... adding a game-changing slot receiver to that offense makes them downright scary

    Re: Draft scenario

First off, this ends up being really crappy in terms of matching trade value on the famous chart. The difference between 16 and 18 is 100 points. Dallas' 3rd round is worth 190 and their 4th round is worth 66 and their 5th is worth 31. Our 4th is worth 68 and 5th is worth 32. I'd rather have the extra 3rd, so I'd probably try to give up our 16th pick and 4th rounder for their 18th and 3rd rounder. Of course, if you would rather have extra picks, we could try to weasel them out of their 4th and 5th instead.

As for the choices... what offensive line prospects are left? Cooper and Warmack trump any of them. Fluker might depending on the Saffold situation. If we're limited to only the above four, I trade back no matter what and probably go Allen.
    I believe!

Cooper and Warmack are gone, that would be to easy if one of them where on the board.
